here goes for directions, from Champaign. take I74 east to exit 200. Turn south (right). You will come to a stop sign(FS plant on your right, elevator across road on your right) Go straight into the country, you'll come to another stop sign, go straight, the road turns to gravel. Go down the hill, across the river and backup a hill, at the top of the hill is a road that you can turn left on, turn left. Follow this around until you come to a place in a valley with a white barn, you should be able to see the piles of rock. Im going to be out there by 10am. PM me and I will give you my cell # in case you get lost.

Yeah we could do a two day event either Friday or Sunday. Or just wake up really early and do it all Saturday. I could go either way.

If I was closer, I'd be glad to help put that lift in your XJ, I put 1 in mine a yr ago New Years Eve in about 4-5 hours. I did a mild 3" lift though, but did have brand new leafs and spring/shocks. What brand lift are you putting in?? I put in a Rough Country and have been very happy with it. The biggest tires I can get on it though are 31"s which is a decent size, with 3:73 gearing. And a rear locker, I get about anywhere I need/wanna go. It's a long drive down from Mpls for me to 1:1 wheel and plan on driving it home in 1 piece. I'm still going to watch the weather and see if I can swing the trip. Last edited by freetimecrawler; 02-20-2007 at 03:57 PM. |

Moving to Texas is no excuse, your here now, move rocks wheel, move more rocks wheel more, then you can more to Texas. As for that lift, I think Im going with a rusty's. Been trying to decide between 3 and 4.5, I only paid $180 so do I want to put too much in. Come on people, you dont have to move rocks if you come (but you will get the evil eye if we are and you dont help) come out bring your crawler and tell me how to improve the course, I want to have the premier destination in IL. Of course I think I may have the only course in IL. |

Do you need us to bring any tools to help move rocks? I could test out the coarse with my sammy it's les capable than a super class truck. What do you need help on, as far as lifting the XJ? |

I'll help move the rocks I'd probably bring some gloves if don't want to chew up your hands. What time do you want us there? The rocks are going to be dumped in one big pile right? Have anything with wheels we can use to move the big one's with? I'll bring my super class clod and my TLT to try the course out. Sunday I'll probably run a bit of green trail and some of orange then screw around in the rock quarry and creek. Moderate stuff if you take the bypasses, stock rigs don't have much trouble, might need a strap in some areas if you have bad tires. I'm only lifted 2"-3" on 32 at's with IFS. I have not been there wheelin since last March. Guess my plan is... Arrive at Jetboats house Saturday, help him with the rocks and crawl, get the rocks moved around. Find a hotel or camp in my truck Go to Badlands wheel around and go home. Last edited by Mnster; 02-21-2007 at 02:03 AM. |
