Saw on the Facebook page that Cataract is cancelled tomorrow due to rain/high water and we're probably doing a trail run at Clifty Falls instead.

I think some buddy's and I are going to try to make it out to arbuckle Sunday. I hve a few Qs. Can we run more than one class? We have 1.9 scx10s and 2.2 wraiths. do we need to be water proof?

Unfortunately in this series you can only run one class for points but you can run another truck for fun. Usually if there is a wet section there is a bypass for a small penalty but we havent had any courses to date that require waterproofing that I can recall. I need to go check Arbuckle towards the end of the week to see where the creek is after the rain we had and rain to come.

I'm only about 15 minutes away from Arbuckle. Will check it out Wednesday or Thursday and post up the condition.

Drivers meeting at 9:30, courses open 10:00. Hope everyone can make it. We're going to have some fun courses. Thanks for checking on the conditions for us Kevin, I'm gonna bring you a little guy to ride in your wraith.

Man, I really wish this was the following weekend when I have nothing else planned. I have a ton of stuff to do on Sunday.

Ran by Arbuckle after work yesterday. Everything is fine there. No water problems, in fact the creek may be low enough on Sunday to be included in a course without needing a waterproof truck.

Thats great news. My truck is performing better than it ever has so class 2 competitors better bring it! Hopefully I will have a new truck to test out too.

Just a quick question - who runs the show here? Is there a club that one would have to join to run?

Transambill and I are running the series. There is no club to join and the entry is free. Just show up and you are good to go. We have a group on facebook if you would like to join there, info gets updated there a little more often. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2730...5416994857904/

Hahahaha! The stupid GPS needs updated. With all the new construction to the interstate it took us the wrong way on 465. It took us 45minutes less to get home, lol.

I had a great time too. As Kevin said, it was great seeing the new faces, thanks for coming TJon37s, EZ00TJ, and crew. Can't wait until the next event. Hope to see a bunch of new faces then too.

That goes double for me. Had a really awesome time. Big Thanks to all the new guys for coming and hope to see you guys at more events.
Also really big thanks for bringing your 1:1 rigs along for the group to check out. Was really cool having real trail rigs there with our 10th scale versions.

Talking Re: 2013 Scale series

I had a great time even though I left my diving skills at home. I had decided when I got home I was going to retire the hilux body but I think I am going to tough it out. I just need to get the weight balanced a little more. I was up until 1am working on it. Jon will be proud. It only has one bumper now. I swapped mine out for a stinger so jow the winch is mounted up inside the body. I swapped my links around and was able to get an MIP driveshaft in the front and got the body to fit a little better. I need to get some more runtime to get weight balanced better. Not that I am real excited to see the scores but hopefully it doesnt take as long as last time.
