Sorry it took so long gettin a pic with the narrowed G-Hawgs but I'm not happy with how the look on there with the narrowed axial bead locks, if the offset kept them under the body I'd like how they look better. And I found out the other day they SUCK on wet granite but they do dig in good on the soft stuff.

Tried water proofing my last new servo early this week and remembered to get me some ballons at the dollar store today so Buster promptly took it for it's first REAL swim today, I LMAO!!!

And then my cameras batteries died.

Looks like we're gonna have to build a snorkel for this thing now, find some water proof switches for the head lights and get another steering wheel servo and water proof it too.

Beautiful build. I just scored a gi joe jeep today on ebay. can't wait to start. question for you. Are there any leaf springs made to fit these chassis or do you have to fab your own?

Thanks!!!

I guess you could use Hi-lift springs but they were a lil too short IMO and wouldn't flex as good as longer springs. Hi-lift springs are a lil over 4.5" long were my home made leaf rake leaves are around 6". My leaves have held up to all the abuse I've thrown at them and just laughed it off, I believe I'd have bent the Hi-lift springs all to hell by now.

If I run across a set of aluminum cased ones cheap enough they'd find their way under it.

Small update on Buster.
Caught him playin with his scaler before all the leaves started fallin off the trees.

That was before he messed up BIG time!!! I tried to warn him but he wouldn't listen. He went and bought himself one of them Russian mail order brides.

Her name is Milenka. Haven't seen much from them here lately but I did manage to get a pic of them together in the ole Willys.

I don't know how he puts up with her though, She can't speak a work of english. I just hope he doesn't end up with a bunch of youngins.

From the way that pic looks, you may be a little late for the no youngins wish. Great build, enjoying the heck out of it......

I think it's about time to upgrade to some aluminum Trex 60's. :?
Broke 2 C's today, just cracked the first one and a buddy let me borrow one and then Buster tore the other one off the Willys.

So I guess if I can swing it that'll be Busters Christmas present.

You know, you can get the plastic ones (i own there great!) and buy some aluminum, diff covers, CNC machined alum steering knuckles and T-rex 60 Reinforced Axle C, and it will shave the cost down a little

This thing has so much torque I'm afraid it'll just break the plastic housings instead of the aluminum C's. That's why I've decided to skip trying Aluminum C's and knuckles for the Axial axles.
