| 1/6 TJ Jeep chassis
Just curious if any one has one of the 1/6 TJ Jeep bodies, and if they would be interested in giving me a quote on making me a chassis? I don't have access to good metal and the proper way to make my own, nor do I have the skill to make my own. I would want it to be roughly 24 inches long with shock loops, holes for links, an RC4WD hammer transfer case, and an axial transmission. I would be trying to make this as scale as possible, even though it is a 1/6 and the transfer case and tranny wouldn't be 1/6. Any way let me know what it would cost plus shipping to an APO address in Okinawa Japan.

Yes actually mattzilla has taken on the frame. I sent him the body, he said he would be laser cutting the rails and going from there.

That looks good. I wish I had the materials tools and knowledge to make my own. Being here in Okinawa really puts a damper on things. I need to learn to weld, bend, and braze. Im ok at brazing but have been using crap materials and tools.

Here is a small update on the chassis. Its the blue prints of how large it will be. I believe he said it would be 20" in length. The rails are getting laser cut, order has been placed. Im excited to see how this all comes together. |

Ill be watching this one also. Im in the process of building one for a 1/6 Nylint TJ body for Jake. I made his from 1/2 inch thin wall chromoly square tubing from stock car steel. worked out pretty well. its tuff making everything work on a rig this large scale. but should be pretty fun when its all done!!.. then shock hoops and all that will all be hand made. tryin to keep it as little cookie cutter as possible!! cant wait to see how this turns out tho! keep postin! |

Can any one post some pictures of the RC4WD t1 disruptor transfer case 2.18:1 with dimensions of mounting points, and the round part of the bottom so it can be properly mounted in this chassis? This would be very helpful. Thank you.

Nice! Right on Mattzilla. I've never seen anyone go about it quite like that. The results are pretty cool looking. And mount points for links, body, etc. can be brazed on wherever you need them. |
