I actually like the simplicity of the triangle shaped hanger at the left
P#59
looks most similar to my M100's leaf spring hangers

why don't you buy some or call them for the width measurements ?

Hey Taco

I found the dimensions for the hangers you like

And the dimensions for all of the ones that come in the combo pack

not sure what measurement units they are in, are they MM's or Cm's or decimal inches

If you use the photo viewer that comes with Windows

you can zoom in and see and read dimensions clearly on the Combo picture

I need some for link mounts for the Hasbro Willy's

And some for spring mounts for my trailers

All of those link mounts are used on the Tamiya Big Rig RC models, they just aren't easy to find in stock anywhere.

With the hangers shown above, once you reinforce the stock plastic by filling in the frame areas, you'll be able to screw those hangers right to the body, that's one option.

Here's the what RC4WD is offering, they are for the Trail Finder and High Lift, and it would appear to me that they require a frame to be mounted to, Part #Z-S0064 set of 4 leafspring shackles and mounts, $40. They also come in black.

I would like to buy some of the RCP Crawler style hangers or the similiar style ones from the posted link

to use with the Willy's plastic frame after I reinforce it, there is a lot builds using the RCP hangers and know that they will work as link mounts

For the trailers, in the first picture are the stock height spring mounts from my GCM 4 ten chassis, that I replaced with the lifted spring mounts, they kinda look the RC4WD ones Mike posted

In the second picture are some Tamiya Bruiser spring hangers and 2 different types of shackles

the one set of shackles look just like the RC4WD ones Mike posted

When I built my GCM chassis, I bought extra leaf springs and the hangers and shackles together cheap

I need to reinforce the trailer first and see if any of the ones have will work, if not I might buy some of the triangle ones Taco likes

Just too use with the trailers

those hangers look interesting...

It looks like the hangers can be adjusted for width
by simply spacing them wider.

Might need use longer bolts to make wider...
but that may not be too difficult.

I may have to look into those more closely.

I just went to RC4WD and looked at the mounts that Mike posted

there almost $50 with shipping to my house

I'm going cheap and buy 2 sets of these at $8.00 for 4 hangers

and cut them so they have only, one hole on the rounded tab side, cause the triangle ones have 2 holes, but I would have to drill a hole in the middle and it would weaken them or would not look good offsetted to me

So with one hole, I can use square metal stock in the trailers hollow area to stiffen the frame

Then drill and tap the holes for the mounts screws with the bit and 3.5 mm tap I got

I could also drill and tap holes in the side spaced opposite of each other to help the epoxy hold the square stock in place

Now for something completely different

I have this Toyota body for my 1/16th Exceed, that will never happen, so I'm going to take the blower

and instead of hinging the hood, I'm thinking about going old school

And cutting the hood and use pins or magnets, so its like a panel with blower attached to the hood, you lift it off instead it beaning hinged

and I like the blower, will need some 1/6th scale Nitrous Bottles

Yeah baby customization in effect

I found this picture of CO2 pellet cartridges

The one on the left is a 12 grams and the one on the right is 8 grams

The smaller one would make a nice Nitrous Bottle with some black wire for the hose and the bigger one could be used for a welding tank or use both for a set and get some red and green wire for the hoses

And they are close enough to 1/6th scale

That the Taco, won't get his UndeRoos in a bunch

right back at yeah

Maybe I'm wrong on the scale, cause the cartridges look to big now

I just bought this 6th scale 21st Century Welding Torch and Tanks, that originally came with a 21st Century 6th Scale Tank set, that the Tank Crews would use to make repairs

Its going to look good in the back of the Jeep, I will take out the back seat and make a mount for bottles where the seat was

And will convert them to Nitrous bottles, to go with the blower and paint "Go Baby Go" on them, Bad Ass right there

And use the torch handle with some red and green wires and a big and a small cartridge and make them a Welding Set, too use in one of the trailers

Will look Bad Ass, with 2 bottles mounted and strapped and a Torch handle and Hose coiled up, need to make or find some gauges or regulators

For the Nitrous Bottles and for the Welding Tanks

Yeah Baby the Creative Juices are flowing

I helped my friend add this 6'' aluminium flashing to his roof to keep the rainwater off his fascia board

And I got to keep the rest, I'm going to make some out of it, maybe make corner panels for the Hasbro

I put my Wraith back together and used different rod ends

And it now has a 12 1/2'' wheelbase and looks better to me

And I scrapped my second Honcho for parts and going to use the

SCX10 Transmission with metal gears and 100 mm Wraith shocks

And links and maybe the Mamba Max pro ESC and Brush less motor

or a 35 turn Brushed motor and a EA2 ESC in the Hasbro Jeep

Wraith factory established wheel base is 13.9"
And so... in looking at your picture posted...
with the front axle extended (forward)
The WB has to be longer... not shorter.

Maybe it's typo and you meant 14.5" WB ?

or do you mean a wider track width ?
factory width is 11.02" (so the increase to 12.5" would make some sense)

yer a confusing individual

No, No, and No

Once again its the Taco Vender who is confused

When I built my Wraith kits, I never used the stock plastic lower or upper links from the kit

I bought the after market, upper and lower aluminum links from Axial, the upper and lowers are both 87.5 mm and depending on which rod ends you use

And with the long curved Axial rod ends the wheel base is the 13.9'' if not more, cause it had a 14.5'' wheelbase and did not like the look of it

Again, I used the shorter curved Axial rod ends and it shortened the wheelbase to 12 1/2'' that's shortened

Stock the front was extended father out, I switched rod ends and it shortened the wheelbase and move both axles inward

I like how it looks with shorter wheelbase with the Spawn Body, with the Original body panels you could lengthen the wheelbase and it looks good, the Spawn body looks better with a short wheelbase

Mr. Dumas do you understand now, is it clear to you

Some peoples kids, send them to school and they shit

in the Sandbox

Almond Roca anyone ??

Yeah Baby

I got my 1/6th scale torch and welding tanks and it looks, a little small sitting in the bed of trailers, so the C02 cartridge welding tanks, need to happen for the trailers

Using them as Nitrous bottles and in between the seat mounts and under the seat

Need to trim the seat a little and use spacers to raise it up a little

so the bottles fit under the seat so I don't have to re-do the whole bed by cutting out the seat mounts

I like it, it's going to look bad ass and something different

The Marx trailer is first and then the Hasbro trailer, the tanks look small to me

No

They are a set of welding tanks with a torch

You can see the torch in the 4th picture

They were part of a 21st Century 6th scale tank set, for tank crews to make repairs

Mr Dumas better change the magnifaction on your glasses and put fresh batteries in your hearing aids

I will be honest, I have been dipping into your arthritis and your glaucoma medicine

and its good shit man

Do you know the street value, I do

OK... you better find some tiny mix gauges for that torch...
Or you'll never get those mix settings right and end up blowing yerself up

Then, paint one tank Lt green (oxyg) and one rust red (acetl).
Then maybe they'll sorta replicate a cutting torch.

Probably better come up with some micro brazing rods as well.
Unless yer just gonna cut shit apart and to hell with welding it back together. Lol

I'd rather have an on board plasma cutter and MIG welder...
'cuz the year is now 2016

please tell me it's not cannibus... 'cuz that chit's legal here anyways.
After the 1st of Janurary it'll be for sale / purchased most anywhere.

Walmart don't sell guns... but they'll sell you some cannibus.

Sounds less appealing now...
'cuz now I gotta figure out another way of being criminally mischievious
Oh wait... I still own guns... that'll have me being labled as a criminal.
Guess I'll be fine.

I just saw on the news that one out of seven Americans
are using and abusing Opiod prescriptions.

So that means nobody will be sober any longer.
One could only hope they'll all calm down and stop killing each other !?

Legalizing cannibus doesn't really matter any longer anyways.
Opiods, booze and cannibus... that's the combo that fixes anything.
Or has folk not giving a chit.
Here's hoping they all add some bleach to their concoction.

Guess I might as well be a part of society's grand scheme.
'cuz whom doesn't want to fit in... might as well be dysfunctional too.

Besides... the liberals are gonna tell me it's good for me anyways.
And that I'm bi-polar or have another mental disorder requiring meds...
just like their wonderful children whom are perfect little angels.

so what could go wrong ?
