and.. more updates!!!! So, i got my frame almost all done.. took pics and kept going, and they didnt turn out so.. i'll try to take more pics of the frame later as i finish it up... I already have the mounting block for the 1/4 scale servo and i may add a little more frame bracing... so, heres the most recent pics that turned out.... so, i mounted the body on the frame and started on the roof rack. I started by bending the main support hoop.. much like any build then i added the front supports for the rack A piece of a metal coat hanger works great to hold pieces in place that gravity will not allow here is how it sits right now.. I also added the main cross brace - this how far back the rack will go!!! Im going to spend time with my wfe before she heads out for a noght with the girls... but when she heads out... im heading to the garage... look for a grip of updates later tonight!!!! I hope to get this thing done and start workin on the tube work for the trailer!!! I may have to get more tubing while im out... dont know, we will see.... How on earth are you getting joints like that with brazing rod and a straight up mapp torch? I have tried just about every friggin torch out there and could not get results like that without oxygen |

She needs new shafts too... they are twisted like pretzels!!! ....

I personally prefer the nylint tires with that gladiator body. They just seem to be the right scaled tire for it. I have the same gladiator body using the nylint tires and it looks killer. You've inspired me to recycle my Glad body and build it over again, and better | |

And heres some updates heres a bunch of body and chassi shots... i have to get the trailer sized up and figured out first before i can finish the trucks chassis... aka - i still have not idea how im going to hook the 2 together - still trying to work that one out. Im thinking a "class 4 reciever hitch" style hook up with an actual ball type hitch that ties into the chassis. The trailer is a double decker - or - will eb a double decker... on top we be my new weapon for the comps watch the 2.2 threads for the build thread that will be posted soon. Heres about 18 updated photos... |
