Default 1/6 SS Silverado

Glad to hear you like your new setup. When you say it's slow, do you just mean it's slower than your old setup? It must not be too bad for it to be able to jump up and over things when you want it to. What would you say the first and second gear speeds were before?

The new waterproof EVX II is a good choice for your truck. It will be a hot seller for sure. You should be able to find them on eBay soon for a fair amount less than the street price.

By the way, your tow strap looks real good. What did you use to make it up?

TOYUTAH ---------- The WB is about 17 1/2" on the body //// 17 3/4" on my set up added 1/8" to frt and rear. The Width is 10 1/2" and length is 30"

BeeRc ---------- Its a little slower than my last set up, 1st gear now 4-5mph before 7-8mph. 2nd gear now 8-9mph before 11-12mph. And as far as the tow strap didn't make it, it was I think a strap for a camera or a strap for a old pair of binoculars or something like that.

Ill be picking up the new speed control this weekend, my LHS got some in and its a decent price to $120.00

WOW I didn't realize this thing is 30" long! I just ordered up a couple of the West Coast Chopper 1/6 scale trucks to do my own build similar to this one. Gotta get something figured out for the frame rails. Very nice work on this build!

Finally got the truck back up and running new speed control works good but I don't like the on/off button. I liked it better with the old set up with a off mounted (on/off) switch. It was eaiser to turn it off and on without taking the body off, but I guess everything comes at a price. I still got a problem with the reciever because it has a delay into reverse from going from a stop to reverse. With the old set up I could eise into foward and reverse now it lurches into reverse. Going to try a reciever and see if that takes care of it, being everything got covered in snow the day I fried my old speed control.

As far as the links Aftershock1 the uppers are about 6" long and the lowers are about 7 1/2" long Frt/Rear.

Hey ALTERED IMAGE it looks like somebody dosen't know how to read but here it is again (LOL), the WB on my set up its 17 3/4" but the bodies WB is 17 1/2".

And BeeRC I just starter working on the D-Maxx body will update you on the stickers, I may be getting them soon.

If you have dual 3000 mah 7 cell 8.4 packs the evx 14.4v will not handle it being based the 14.4 evx is for two 6 cell battery packs. If you have the new 16.8 volt evx2 it will handle your 3000 mah packs at 8.4v each.

My current set up in the SS is dual 4200 / 6 cell packs on the new 16.8v evx2, and it does fine the evx barley gets hot, and I had the same results with the old 14.4evx. The 55 lathe motors get hotter than the evx does. I may upgrade to dual 3800 / 7 cell packs and see how that does a far as wheel speed.

But base on you question I think the 8.4v/ 3000 packs will burn out your 14.4evx based on the voltage.

What's the status on the Duramax stickers you were having made? I would still like to get a set or two of them from you if and when you get them made!! Any chance of your getting the '2500HD' stickers made to go with them as on the full size trucks? Thanks.

i was thinking of making the same truck except with kyosho axles and instead of battery powered , do you think a 32 cc gas motor would fit ? . ive got a baja 5b im getting bored with. i could use the shocks, engine, and all the electrics and gas tank and i could get 40 series wheels.
