Default Gunnar Tubes ... and inner housing braces

We are happy to now offer "Gunnar Tubes" for your Axial AX10/SCX10 ... in 2 variations.

Each tube is pinched inside your axle housing and secured with 2 screws through your C-Hub/Lock-Out. This gives you the benefit of additional weight down low and the strength of steel threads.

The standard Gunnar Tube has 2 tapped M3 holes for your C-Hubs:

And our Flat Top Gunnar Tube adds 4 mounting points atop you axle, which is perfect for our new Pro CMS kit:

For those that want a light weight solution to adding a beefier mounting point to your axle, we offer our Inner Housing Brace:

SO no matter what you are looking for there is something that will work for you!

Thanks for reading!

Do the holes on the flat top line up with the holes on the plastic housing? That would be an awesome solution to those of us who have torn our trusses out of the wee bit of plastic that they have to mount to when running tubes in the rear axle. Drilling and tapping a standard tube to match those was an exercise in futility for me.

2 of them do, yes.

The other two are meant for use with our Pro CMS kit and are probably overkill but ... sometimes we like to do things overkill.

Me likes me overkill...

I'll be needing a pair of these like yesterday... or at least before the next comp.

Nice to see these being named after the originator of the "Beef Tube".
One of the longest lasting, creative ideas that serves a valuable purpose.

Exactly!

Back in the day when the CMS on the shop H2 was done it had a modified Hand Brothers CMS kit for the lifted suspension. That was the original inspiration for the Pro CMS. When the modified bracket destroyed the housing for lack of support, a modified Gunnar Tube was made so a bracket could bolt to the housing/tube:
Locked Up's SCX10 - Trail Ready H2

So, when we decided to do some tubes we contacted Gunnar and he told us to go for it!

Which reminds me ....

THANK YOU GUNNAR!

We just want to clear the air here since we had a comment last night on Facebook that is now gone.

Gunnar was the original creator of this type of tube.

We know how passionate everyone is to protect the interests of guys that have great ideas like Gunnar, so we completely understand why people have contacted us. We just want to assure you that we are making these with permission of the original inventor.... but you do not have to take our word for it, you can read this post on RCC from back in 2010: Gunnar's axle beef insert-fab and install

We are WELL aware that there are several vendors on places like ebay that make these tubes and have not spoken to Gunnar. We are not one of those vendors and hope that everyone will take a moment to do some reading before lighting their torches and chasing us with pitchforks.

thanks
