Autozone.

They are the "crimp" style but I solder them on.

I finally got some pics up from the last comp:
http://www.lockeduprc.net/misc/pictu...9-26-20101.htm

I'm digging the black ... too bad I trashed the housing and had a short day.

Because I run high steer knuckles, I had to completely modify my hand bros 3 link kit. I had mounted the track bar to the axle using nothing but the housing for the bracket, which had been separated from the center section portion. I knew it was a weak point but the truck has held up so well for so long I forgot to go back and brace it.

So on course 1 the trackbar bracket ripped itself out of the housing during the comp. I will admint I was holding nothing back (I later found a few trashed rod ends as well)...

To fix this, I decided to attach the bracket to the gunnar axle tubes. I broke out the 220v and built up 2 mounds of steel on the tube, drilled, tapped and ground them down to fit my new housing. I think it came out pretty well.

While I was at it, I added some set screws to my knuckles to help hold the bearings in for the super 300s.

It actually took me a while to get the bracket right but somewhere around number 4 I got it. I also finally smoked my rotary tool...

It was about half the price of a "real" Dremel and lasted just as long as the original one I had. I actually went right back to Wally World to get another one.

You shouldn't't break that. If you do I suggest going to alum housing.

Itll never work...

Looks good Patrick. I would of never guessed that bracket could of ripped out of the axle housing. This will give us a good alternative in case this happens

Now that's professional grade right there. That is a SWEET H2 Hummer rig right there.

Man that rig is dialed in! I was extremely surprised to see how easy this thing negotiated some of the obstacles in the Comp. I am currently studying your suspension setup!

Ordered some custom plates for this from Krawler Konceptz.

Actually, I won a free set at our last event ... and ordered a second set.

Thanks,
I appreciate the ... appreciation.

I'm also starting to mill around ideas for an internal cage and some sliders but I need to get my XR10 finished first.

Had a tough comp this weekend and took 2nd.

Overall the truck did fine but I am starting to see some room for improvement.

I definitely want to replace the 3racing winch with a servo winch. Partly for the power but also the reliability. My 3 racing winch did fine but the line got tangled around the spool again and I told myself if it happened again I'd do a servo winch.

Looks like I can get the servo winch to fit up front where the battery is now but I will need a smaller battery.

I'm going to charge up my batteries from the weekend to see how many mah they take and base my next battery purchase off of that. 2200mah is probably not necessary and if I could I'd love to run the same 1050s I have in my XR10.

I also have one from my old WK suspension winch:

Once I figure out exactly how I'm going to set it up I will do another writeup on it.
This time it will either be with an ESC or the Heyok board.
