It will be faster and MUCH torquier! The best beneffit will be the lower running temperatures you will get on it since it hardly has to work at all because of its huge improvement in torque. My buddy has been doing the losi into sumo transplant which would also work if thats the way you want to go but I think the "big block" choice might be a bit easier and safer, but again, theres choices for you
tower pro mg946r servo >>> So is this motor still the best option for the sumo crawler? Is getting the motor out of the servo case and installing in the crawler easy enough?

Thread sub.

Picked up a new Sumo Micro crawler yesterday.

Rear steer servo arrived with one of the gears not lined up(and no small enough screw drivers at home)

Test drove and immediately tore it apart to cut a few coils out of the springs and to lower the spring mounts.

So far i'm loving this little truck. I ordered 2 hobbyking servos HK-CS929MG as well as 2 2s lipo packs

I'll be looking to upgrade the power possibly after I see how it does on lipo.

New servos installed, Soooooooo much more torque!
Also. Cut Northern coil. Out of the springs so I am almost fully compressed at full flex. I wanted just the smallest amount of spring there still. Shocks relocated, and battery boxes gutted for the lipo and rx

Very happy with the performance of it now, but not the looks. Gotta try go find a decent scale body now

Also picked up a New Brite tahoe for mockup, but makes the truck too long for my liking (I want to keep it as small as possible

Hey Rich, haven't we met a long time ago at the Palm Beach Crawlerz course? I've only been a few times. I had a Berg based Crawler I bought from a member down south and an SCX10 with a red Cherokee body and 2speed summit transmission.
