Those are solid urethane tires. I'd run them on a scaler, but not a comp style rig. If he could make them glue-on and hollow i'd consider it though. Sent from my SCH-I535 |

let me chime in on the hsp's..i'm no tire expert-- and i comparing them to some stock tires..so here we go.. round 1-- got them, cut the wheels reassbmled w/ stock foams. 2-with full foams and 2 with 2/3 foams.. all wheels vented.. seemed stiff. round 2--unglued --now 2 with crawler innovation memory rings meduim..got them with my double dues so i figured..why not( 2/3 width)--much better round 3-- unglued--no foams. way better. added 1.5 oz (3 .50 caliber bullets fit great into the stock hsp wheels) to the front wheels--now i can start to see some tire flexing going on.. i have a rock i trying to climb--so i go to the same spot-every time. at this point --with the weight.. i can hear the nubs grabbing and slipping on the rock almost getting a kind of bouncing effect. i think with the weight in the wheels, thats all i going to get. i dont think the rubber is "sticky" enough to latch on to it? now i'm basing all this off of watch super comp crawler do some narly almost vertical climbs.. so i figure why cant a micro do the same. i going to try to add more weight to the rears and see what happens. but i dont know about my little danally 90t pushing around 15oz. that seems like alot to ask from such a small motor. if u guys want to try these out-- i would say-no foams. any opinions are more than welcome.. No cut and shut needed there, just narrowing the wheels. This an awesome option, but HSP won't be around forever. Also, they only have this one tread pattern. That's why I'm a big supporter of the stuff for the Mini T/RC18/Propulse/Vendetta 1/16th sized tires. Many tread patterns, lots of wheels, and a standard bead size that we can have wheels made for. video: losi micro crawler - YouTube couple of times u can see the front tire start to compress. adding wieght to the rear just made it roll over. |

now that you think about it.. it makes sense.... skinnies or rubber band tires.. wont flex much.. not much sidewall... look at the huge miclaws... wonder what if you cut and shut stock side walls into those if they would be better??? |

Well i got a reply, Hi Mike, I can't do the hollow tires, and the reason I have been making any is that they are heavier and my crawler guys ask for them that way. I'm told they are cheaper and offer a lower center of gravity? Certainly no good for jumpin'! Well back to square 1 lol didant hurt to try. |

I was thinking about that cut in shut. If you dont care what it looks like & want a hideous sidewall. Why not just wrap a stock tire like the redo semi tractor tires. Retread they call it tho.
