Does RCMart not carry them anymore? They just had them a week ago. As far as bigger tires, I've seen everything from GamyRc's HSP buggy tire/wheel mod to mini 8ight tires and wheels being used. Check around, there are other options out there.

From what I've seen the bigger wheels and tires from the buggies seem to work great on the micros when narrowed. Mind you, this is almost always more of a shrunken "super class" look. If the extreme side of comp rigs and buggies are your thing I'd be looking at GamyRC's vids on youtube and Chevy55's (IIRC) micro super and MOA Sumo threads where he has more info on the Mini 8ight front wheels. Personally, if I ever build my dream super class micro it'll be rolling on narrowed Mini T rear wheels at all 4 corners with sticky mini pin tires. The full width tire on the narrowed wheel pushes the center up and really softens them up to wrap around rocks.

I believe he is talking about these rims and tires?

Losi Front Mini King Pin, Mounted: Mini 8IGHT (LOSB1889) | Horizon Hobby - Radio Control R/C Planes, RC Airplanes, RC Helis and Helicopters, RC Cars, RC Trucks, RC Truggys, RC Boats, RC Radios, RC Engines, parts, hop-ups, and accessories

you would need to mod them tho..

Yup those be the ones, not to hard to mod just epoxy a stock hex on the back side & your good to go!...I would remove the stock foams cause they are to stiff with them in...You can also mount the tires on any 1.9 rim if you don't like the dish look.

size comp next to miclaws:

Made sense to me. Maybe I did get a little in depth there. Basically, I was talking about narrowing 1/14-1/18th buggy wheels to puff up the tire for a micro super class type crawler. For whatever reason my phone DID NOT want to copy this as a link. Whatver, you can copy and paste it. 49 Redcat Racing 1/24 Sumo Crawler Micro RC with mods / upgrades Micro Boss Claw Tire - YouTube

I give up. The link works perfect thanks to smart forums and no help from my dumb phone...

Do those work well for crawling? Would they burn out your electrics?

Dont know.. they look pretty lite. And the trire pattern is the same as the super comp crawlers use.. I havent gotten the tires yet.some time this week. I will post up some pics and results when I get them.

Yes, they dont look as tall as the ones in the earlier post.. which look alittle too tall to me.

here's a quick look at the wheels.. first off the guy on youtube had some made skills to make such nice cuts. i have a hand saw and some sandpaper--so no laughing!
i found this plumbing nut that acted as a guide..

dropped the rim in it and just cut around and snipped the inner veins with wire cuters...

glue the tops let dry and glue the back sides--not too bad. on the rears i put the whole stock foam in, but it seemed alittle firm for me. so on the fronts i cut off 1/4 of the foam. seemed to make them little more flexible.

the nubby's round the edge pretty good

last note-- the center hubs are too deep.. so you have to sand them down or else they bind knuckles/lockouts.

I really gotta try this. I've been stock piling parts for a comp style build. Every one of these builds makes me want to spend money I don't have to complete mine.
