Default Ok, some one point me in the right direction????

I have read all over this section, but can't find what I'm looking for! I know all about 2.2 pro and sporty, with electronics and setup and such, but on these micros, when you guys change to a 2s lipo are you also adding a bec, or can the esc handle it for the servo and motor???

On my several slightly modded McRCs and Trekkers, it works okay. With a DDT 90t and HS65MG or MG90S and Miclaws there seems to be some hesitation or brown out near the end of a pack or when solidly bound up. Been considering trying to find a micro sized bec to try. I generally prefer to just back off the throttle and move the rig out of the bind.

Do they make a micro bec? Could you just use a regular one?

Not sure. Need to research and find a compatible one that is very small. I'm having a blast with them as they are.

I've run 2s batts with both of my micros on stock esc's and they work fine. One is pretty seriously upgraded with a big block motor, hg65 servo, weighted beadlocks, etc. And it works great on 2s. My kid more our less beats on that rig, usually at wot and it keeps asking for more. Finally just had to replace the pinion gear in the rear axle this afternoon and all is well again. So honestly I don't think a bec is necessary because these things don't pull a lot of power. So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I have been able to 'warm up' the rec/esc, servo and motor a few times on the rocks during some intense action on difficult lines.

Man, my Trekker is nowhere near that clean inside. I run a pretty big battery, too, though. 430mAh Turnigy 2s. Don't have any pics of it w/o the body on, though. Here it is last time I drove it, though.

I can do that. I actually attempted to repaint the body, but it didn't exactly turn out very good. It's got some color to it, but still looks terrible. Wanting to do a hard body on it, but not sure what yet. Either an old Datsun or a Yota. Although, I've looked at a couple others, too, like a newer body S-10 and an older Grand Cherokee (ZJ maybe). It's actually not even mine. Belongs to my 4 year old.
