Default Wheel wideners with the pin drive?

Are there any around, or is this a "wanted" section item now?

Well I was going to run the MiClaws on my D21 Honcho build but I think I've talked myself out of it. I may not need the wideners anymore, but I'd like to have a set or two for the pin drive just to have the option. I picked up an additional set of vertex wheels and some micro baja claws that are actually quite a bit taller than the Rok Lox, I think they'll look better than the MiClaws.

Plus, I just scored a 1/20 Lindberg Hilux body for $6.50. Looks like it might be missing a few pieces but the cab and the bed are accounted for. That might be a better body to cut up, pinch and bob to clear the MiClaws.

I may try some plastic wheels some time, but I like every gram of weight I can get down low.

My mistake, I wasn't really catching what you were saying about pin drive wideners. I think you are looking for the BWD wideners. As far as the Mil Stone wideners, they are a tad expensive, but very nice. Ran them on my last couple micro builds. The extra 9 grams per corner really helps, the barrel nuts are very high quality, and they do provide quite a bit of extra width. As much as I dislike wideners, they're probably the only ones I'll run. As with all wideners though, they do add to the scrub radius, put quite a bit of load on bearings and shafts because of the increase in leverage that the tire/wheel combo has over the axle, and they do require a little more steering effort to do the same job.

As RootBreaker said, check out some of the wheels from the various vendors here on the site. DANALLY and Fungi both have wheels available in different offsets. Then all you're left with is loading some weight in them and mounting up your favorite rubber.

BWD will get them back in and you can slap those suckers on then. I waited a couple months for BWD to get the barrel nuts in when I was looking for them. The BWD units are nice though. I had some plastic units from another source and they got loose after some use.
