C'mon now, let's see the progress! Ted and I just spent most of the day taking pictures and building one up for the instructions manual. You should have this thing done by now.

I like that Orange. It would match the ME gold pretty well. I too want some done pics. You molest your parts too much. You need to stop fondeling them and put them together.

Alright we have a full roller plus some.

Stock motor is installed right now, will probably go get a mini slider motor tomorrow.

Futaba S9156 (340 oz/in) is installed and linkage hooked up. I decided to run Gmade wideners in the front only, this helps with clearances for the steering but I also like the stability that I had with my other MRC. Still need to get it on the rocks of course. I am thinking that when the new wheels come I will send Dinky new tires and have him do another set. I never want to undo these beadlocks again! PITA!!!!

Body is not mounted yet, I will mount and trim it tomorrow. I need to go to bed now.

Looks nice Harely!

Show some tech on how you mounted the full size servo and will you provide a measurements for how much room you have left for the battery side?

It looks like even with the full size servo you could get the optional Losi Lipo pack on there??? Although with your wideners it could be deceiving....

Yeah sorry for the lack of process pics.I have to fly through building so I can take it with me to Omaha tomorrow.I do believe a Losi batter will fit, but I will need the dimensions first.

I had to drill out the upper link mounts on the axle because we didn't have 2mm nuts on hand. The stock rodends will be used normally.

I have a lot more work to do tonight!

Looks good Josh! You will like DarkSoul's wheels, they go together very easily and FAST.

I hope so because after 224 beadlock screw my fingers hurt. Kenny might end up taking these with him after Omaha depending on how far out my wheels are.

What is your take on using or not using the UHMW sheeting on the skid B? Not 100% which was I am going to run it.

On the skid material, I started crawling with a slippery bottom chassis surface, so that is what I knew, Chino was always using a raw aluminum skid which just seemed odd to me, I thought "why wouldn't you want to slide?"; what sealed it for me was a gate that required you to punch a little throttle to bump up a ledge, no matter what, I kept sliding back down, Chino went to it, hit it, DID NOT SLIDE BACK DOWN, and was on his way. I think there were maybe 2-3 rigs that got through that gate, all had a courser finish on the bottom that would not slide backwards. As soon as we developed the kit, I decided to try without the plastic, and have not looked back, makes it a lot more predictable IMO, but the beauty is, you can always peel it back off

Harley, I've got a losi 600mah lipo in hand and it's ~ 35x30mm. So depending on orientation, it sure appears it would fit.

The Losi battery should easily fit then as my MaxAmps 860 almost fits and I think it is about 65mm long. Note that I am running wideners in the front. I would have to check again to see how much clearance there is without the wideners.

I will try and get the completed pics up soon. I fried the stock motor after very little run time. I also cracked the endbell on my mini slider motor so it is shot.

I need to get it running for this weekend's GTG.
