What are you using for your shock mounts. I have been trying to find something nice to putin the top of the shocks but haven't come up with anything I like. I've been trying to find something to utilize a 3mm screw but to no avail as of yet.

What size battery are you using?? Building one up now for my 10 year old son. I have 3 E-Flite 2s 1250 mah packs. I'm sure i shouldn't have any issues size wise. This chassis is killler. Also have a mongoose system on it's way this week.

This is what I use, you just have to drill the center out for the 3mm screw. It's very easy. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLXY8&P=7 J

Currently, I am using a Venom pack. The reason why is because it fits between the chassis plates. I have it mounted in the front against the back of the transmission. It fits very nicely. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXXLL6&P=7 J

I haven't started my son's GC3 yet. Got all the pieces for it now. Are the newer skids needing to be sanded also?? Mine looks like it should be fine. Thx for the info. |

| No, Mine is stock. I've been thinking about building a second 1.9 and doing that mod. I've had the hinge pins since Harley and I first discussed but haven't done anything with them. I need to find a donor rig and do a second build. J |

One side? Not following you. Both sides should be sanded on the old skids. The new skids don't require sanding at all. |

Oh now I got you. You have to reduce the size to fit through the chassis and links. You dont cut the entire shaft down so it captures the pin on one side and you only need one e-clip that way. If you cut the entire pin down it allows the chassis to spread apart at the skid or you will have to cut a slot in the pin for a second e-clip. J |

The mod is still working great on my rig. Never lost an e-clip.

Harley, Are you still running the Mongoose system in your GC3? I need to get more time on mine since I switched to the Mongoose before Nats to make sure I am comfortable with it. I keep hearing all these horror stories about the Mongoose but so far have not had any issues myself. J |

J I had mine for 2 years. I never had a problem with mine up to now. I do plan on getting it esc replaced and keep on running on it. Don't let the horror stores scare you.

Yup still running mine, I only run it on 2s though. I have heard tales of them burning up quickly on 3s. I don't feel I need the additional wheel speed so I never bumped up.
