Two delays to progress... The LCC rear steer kit cones with everything except hex pins. Ordered Dlux chromo pins

And ouch...

I tried doing some work last night and tonight since doing this on Tuesday, but with a chunk missing from my index finger I need to let it heal up a bit.

I was countersinking some holes in brass and the drill jumped from the hole and came down on the finger with a sharp Ti bit...

I think MRC and LCC hex pins are the same size, if that helps.

I have read a number of people are using the Axial pins. I think you have to oversize the holes a bit though. But thanks for the heads up on the Dlux pins. I have to order some weights here in couple weeks. I think I will throw some of them in too.

Yep...I drilled the holes in the stubs out to accept the Axial style pins...the LCC pins are tiny.

The challenge to me with the lcc hex pins is that it limits the hex you can as well. Nice finger mod though. How much weight did that drop.

The holes in the MRC stubs are noticeably smaller that the LCC stubs. I tried my MRC pin in the LCC stub and it had a LOT of lateral play.

I may end up going that route, but am not drilling anything for a few days. I'm a little intimidated by my drill right now

Got the LCC conversion done and a drag link mocked up. I am using the MRC shafts for now until I can get the LCC shafts cut down properly.

In the spirit of Lowering CG, You can also take a dremel to the top of the axle case and bore out some room to drop the servo tray. This will get some weight down slightly. Greg/86jeep said he got an extra 2 degrees of climbing out of his mrc when he dropped the servo tray down some.

I know! I need my permanent drag link solution before I do that though, 8/32 with revo ends is temporary. 1/8" Ti with pede ends will be the solution and allow more drop.

Now that the cat is out of the bag about the New Viper, that is a big chuck of what has delayed work on this. With that coming to an end soon I will be able to focus fully on finishing this little guy.

I am also running ti with the revo rod ends and it works great with the shaft hollowed out. You will be happy that way for sure.

Almost running again. I'm headed to the lhs to get some pede ends to make new upper links with.

I need to get wheel extenders too, my wheels rub on the knuckle weights. Hopefully they have some mini revo extenders at the shop or off to the interwebs I go!

I got everything together and got some rock time in before tomorrows comp. I am pretty happy with how it is driving, we will see how tomorow goes.

Junfac, they are not here yet. I ground the screws on the inside of the wheel so they don't hit the knuckle weights

I believe Dickyt is running some heavily modded GC3 sideplates. The advantages is the weight, the look, and the wow factor (which is really worth something).

So with these wheels, and weights setup, how much weight are you running in the wheels now? Also with the shocks inverted, have you been able to get rid of of the air issues caused when flipping these shocks like that? I have tried to flip all my shocks in the past but have slowly been going back to flipping them right side up just to get the best out of them.
