I didn't notice it at the top of this page.

No, no wideners, in fact the LCC conversion adds width by itself, wideners would put it past comp legal width.

Start here, I think around page 4:
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/losi-...i-build-4.html
Then go to D-lux's site and look at the pictures of his adapter pieces. Those 2 things are what I went by when I did mine.

I just went through this whole thread and saved 47 pics to my computer :). I'll then have them for easy access to refer to them. I hope you don't mind.

What's the part # for the axial bent rod ends?

Re: Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

LOL, nope, I don't mind at all. They are here to help others, I'm glad to see them be used. "thumbsup"
I don't know about the Axial bent rod ends, I just had some lying around from old builds. They come on a parts tree, I don't think they can be bought separately, but I sure wish they could. Maybe someone else has the part # for the tree?

Just got home and grabbed an SCX-10 manual; the tree is part number AX80005.

Re: Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

Thanks! found it but it's $6.50 and it only has 2 of the rod ends :(

papabash 04-02-2012 04:58 PM

Re: Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

True, that's why I wish you could buy them separately, but are you really going to let $6.50 stop you from making an $80 chassis perform to it's full potential?

Re: Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

How many of them are you using? It looks like 4 as far as I can tell

papabash 04-02-2012 06:39 PM

Re: Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

Four is correct.

What hardware do I use for the LCC conversion?

BTW you weren't being rude at all I totally understand....

Re: Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

The rear-steer kit comes with most everything you need. I used some longer M3 screws to attach my tie rod/drag link, but your particular steering setup may not need them.

Re: Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

Ok so do you have the ones that came with it that you would be able to sell me? Since you said that you used the M3 screws.

papabash 04-03-2012 03:57 PM

Re: Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

They were 4-40 or some weird thread pitch, so I threw them in my "odds and ends" box of screws, nuts, bolts, etc. Since I've been in and out of RC for about 30 years, it is pretty much a black hole for misfit hardware - don't really wanna go there, sorry.

Re: Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

Ahh NP :) Could you tell me the screw I need to get?

papabash 04-03-2012 06:39 PM

Re: Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

I could, but it might be totally wrong. You need to work out your linkage first, and then see what it takes to accomplish it. My best advice is to go to your local Ace Hardware (or whatever franchise you have nearby) and get some M3 machine screws in assorted lengths. I like to keep them on hand up to around 30mm with a few 40 or 50mm ones that can be cut off as needed.

Ok So in those pics I sent you was that all I needed?
