Default Drivetrain Slop

Anyone else not liking the sloppy transmission locker from the HR metal gears? I am very tempted to drill it out and install the stock metal locker in the gear, or just go back to the plastic gear entirely. Seems to act like an impact gun loosening up setscrews and especially when you fwd/rev/fwd/rev/fwd to right side up a rig on its lid.

also.. diff lockers. I have taken a punch and "walked" the aluminum back into the corners of the stub slot to fill in the slop, but this can only happen on the inside race of the locker - the bearing race on the outside makes it impossible to refresh that side of the locker. Im about to make a 2 pc "clamshell" LCC C hub mount so I can just panelbond the damned axle into the locker and call it a day, and be able to tear the axle down without removal of shafts from the locker.

this is getting OLD! my only gripe about the MRC in general is this sloppy aggravation.

thoughts? ideas? bacon?
