Default Chino63's Mini

I've been missing my mini. Since Nor-Cal has no mini comps anymore, I sold it and regreted it ever since. I bought a Mini Pro awhile back and stuck some portals on it but it sat for a year collecting dust.

My little girl kept pestering me about it and thought it was really cute. I don't care much for cute so I had to get it going and give it a bit of attitude. I wanted something different so I got a Mcallister Oswego body for it which gave it the attitude I was going for. My daughter helped with the paint decision and I showed her how to use the airbrush. She laid down a few coats of blue as well as the orange stripe.

That looks great, you definitely gave it attitude. Don't think I've seen portals on an MRC before, that's pretty cool, looks like a fun little rig.

Sweet! Glad to see you got a mini back together.

I was very bummed the day Nor-cal cut the mini class. There so much fun to drive.

Chino, we could start up the mini class for next year's series, just get 3 to 5 rigs together. You'll probably have to set the courses, since I don't have 1.9 experience. Maybe I'll try to get one going before then.

Glad to see you got the portals on, they look great! I still need all the info to get them on my scaler. I bought the portals after I saw you post last year.

Reminds me of the movie "Hot Rod", best quote from the movie, "You won't see me, you might hear me, but you won't see me.".

Portals are awesome, I have put them on three scalers and all I can say is I'm hooked. Running out of them though, wish they still made them.

Ebay or from R/C Mart but I think they are discontinued since they are out of stock everywhere.

Yeah, I had more fun running it for the 20 minutes or so than my 2.2. Don't tell....

Hopefully I can join you guys out there in the valley sometime.

Nice. After a running a lot of dirt oval in the off season, I became a huge fan of McAllister lids. I actually that same lid sitting on a shelf waiting for paint. I didn't plan on running it, just givin it some sick, old school long licked hot rod flames.

It's actually been cool being excited about the mini class again. We have a healthy field here in SoCal with some SICK builds that flat work so its been fun getting the little turd working good.

I hope you Northern boys get em going again. They're definitely cool & the atmosphere is just the boys havin fun with little cars after the more "serious" parts of the comp.

Been using them on a few different builds. Holding up pretty well if you're not too Hard on them, i had them on a cc01 geared 30:1, 17.5 brushless on 3s.

Here are some crappy cell phone videos of it in action. It only took me 2 hours to figure out how to get from my phone to here but now I know how.

Made a few chaanges, since it was built, I installed a Novak 13.5 brushless and a Losi crawler ESC. Great combo, crawls great and improved my run times over the Mini Slider. All that's left is to improve the steering.

I have to say, this thing really impressed me. I forgot how fun it is to drive them.
