Default DravTech presents a sneak peak on coming MRC parts

Sometimes everything takes much longer than one thought and hoped... seeing all the awsome stuff that has been offered to the MRC lately some of these parts might be obsolete, but perhaps it can make someone happy

More pictures and guides how to make the modifications will be posted later on.

I will be offering these parts in my coming store at Shapeways. It is up and I have a few parts for sale atm, but I will work on the store and add more parts, hopefully not that far in the future.

The things that are already on the store or ready soon are the following:

The MRC Wrapter (wraith adapter) that allows you to use XR10/Wraith c-hubs, knuckles and axial universal for some really good and strong steering. They also have build in link and shock mounts for M3 hardware.

There will be 2 versions of the Wrapter. One that uses M3 hardware for both the shocks and lower links, and one that uses M2 hardware for the original shocks and M3 for the lower links.

The Wrapters require no modification on the axle housings to be used.

Combined servo and upper link mount for the front axle. It also has a build in plate for a battery or electronics. You can also mount a optional plate under the build in plate. But, the best thing is that the servo mount is angled so you can have better drive shaft clearance and still a level servo.

A upper link mount for the rear axle that offers some adjustability length- and heightwise.

When you use the Wrapters and XR10/Wraith steering you have to be careful which wheels you use. I have made some wheels for SLW or Axials plastic hubs that keep you under 8" in width. You can use the RC4WD hubs seens in my MRC thread with these wheels, but I will also offer a wheel modified to fit the RC4WD hub better.

Lastly I will also offer some lockouts for the rear axle. These uses the stock rear drive shaft but offer bigger bearings and build in shock and lower link mounts.

There will be 2 versions of the lockout. One that uses M3 hardware for both the shocks and lower links, and one that uses M2 hardware for the original shocks and M3 for the lower links.

I have also designed some spools for the MRC axles. The spools are made from stainless steel and uses the Exceed 1/16 crawler ring gear. They feel like they will last a very long time, but unfortunately they were also quite expensive.
I have only ordered a small quantity of these ones and they work really good with the stock pinion. The mesh is a bit tight with the Traxxas OD pinion. I will see if I can get them to work with the Traxxas pinion, but I got other more prioritized things to do before that I afraid to say

Right now, I do not know if I will be offering the spools or not. The cost is quite high and I have to order quite a large quantity to get the price down.

I want a set of spools for sure!

Let's be honest, expensive is a relative term.

I've spent countless dollars on this hobby $8.73 at a time........what's $40?

Awesome to see new parts available.

Thank you.

Is the servo mount for a 1/16 size servo or 1/10? and will you fab them without the tray? I really like the rear 4 link.

Thanks

The servo mount is for a 1/10 sized servo. I use a Hitec 7950 for my build. If there is interested I can make a version without the plate. Do you in that case want mounting ears so you can mount a plate later on? Like I did on the delring version I milled earlier?

The Wrapters should be ready for sale in the end of this month. I had hope to be able to offer them sooner, but I am having some problems getting the spline as sloop free as I want it. The last version was a bit to tight and I had to put the wrapter and c-hud in the freezer for 30 min to be able to pull them apart.

When I get the Shapeway store up and running and included all the parts I will start to look at the spools again. Thanks for the support!

Some nicer news! The Wrapter is now ready to be sold

DravTech Store

Instructions and a proper vendor thread will be posted during the weekend. Shapeways has some problems atm, so the rest of the parts will be put in the store as soon as possible.

I am starting a MRC Pro build. I picked up all of your Shapeways parts that were available, but when is your rear mount plate going to be available?

Thanks for the support! The reason I made it unavailable was that I was not 100 % satisfied with it. When you clocked up the rear axle the upper links got quite long. I was planning to make a new one, but paused that work as no one seemed interested in the parts. But the last month some people have made some orders so perhaps I should make the new mount a reality.

If you can accept a bit long upper links I can make the rear mount available again.

If I could get it in Purple to match your other pieces that I just ordered, I would not hesitate to make longer links. I am making my own Ti links anyway. I can't imagine why longer would be a problem, but this is my first MRC build.
