| Thread size for MRC Pro??
Does anyone know what the thread and pitch size is for the shock mounting screws. I measured it and it read 1.9mm(.075in). So it is in between a number 1.8mm and a 2mm screw, and if its US it is in between a #1 and a #2 screw. I also counted the threads and it came out to 64 threads per inch, which converts to .4 pitch in metric. I looked at all the Screw kits and none that I have found specify what comes in the package. All im trying to do is replace some the the screws on my MRC Pro to socket head cap screws so I don't strip any more bolt heads out. If anyone can help me out point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. |

Awesome I will have to order some more screws from micro fasteners next time. Too bad I already ordered some m2 x 12mm off of ebay. Metric Socket Head Cap Screw Stainless M2X12 mm Pkg of 25 RC Cars Trucks | eBay |

The most common sizes I have found in RC are: M2 on "mini" cars. Sometimes maybe M1 if it is a super tiny car M3 on most 1/10 crawlers for hardware. It is the one you will want to stock the most of. M4 is used for wheel hub nuts and on links but that is really about it. Keeping a tap/appropriate drill/clearance drill size and some screws in the most common sizes tends to get you out of a bind really fast and can be helpful if things just aren't working. Sometimes you can find "screw grab bags" but make sure they are good quality or you will be regretting that "sale on screws" very fast! |
