Fair enough!

The SC8 is cool, but they're discontinued. I don't buy discontinued RCs because of the lack of parts support that will surely arise.

Why? It's not a rock crawler, or a rock racer, it's a trophy truck. It's supposed to have at least a little cornering ability.

Just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean it shouldn't be anyone else's. Just throwing an option out there that may work for someone. And to your point, trophy trucks are 2wd with the exception of a few threw out the years. Bj's, Robby G, mcmillin, lofton, and all current guiser trucks are 2wd.... if you even follow off road.

I missed the bit about making it RWD before, and I only saw the bit about locking all the diffs.

The Baja Rey isn't the Twin Hammers, but I tried making my Twin Hammers RWD and it was horrible. Even with Pro-Line M3-rubber tires it didn't get enough grip and its handling was atrocious. The Baja Rey is heavy enough that I suspect it would be impossible to drive with only two powered wheels.

I've driven both, but only own the Rey. The Losi only seemed to lose in battery life and ease of maintenance. Handling, tuning, speed, construction, scale roll cage, features, all are improved. It's clear the Axial is just a rock racer with a new outfit, the Losi was made ground-up to work as a TT. It's just better optimized.

I'm sure with enough time and $$ the Axial can be great, but it's nice to have something work right of the box

No amount of time and money can overcome the Yeti's high center of gravity and lack of a center diff. You'd need a custom chassis to fix one and a custom gearbox to fix the other. (so you'd need to say "time, money, and access to a machine shop".) Some people don't mind those things and compensate for them with their driving style, but I prefer the vehicle that doesn't make me need to compensate for them.

Any info or opinions will be greatly appreciated on this one guys. So I bought a rey, far from my first vehicle but have never had this issue. While running it if I rip a handful of doughnuts, make some power turns in a sandy area and sometimes on a long straight away it seem to fall on its face as if the battery is dying? It will go about 50% and then finally stop as if it has hit lipo cutoff? I give it a few minutes or turn power on and off and it will run full power again. I placed an external bec on the stock esc and no change. I have changed rx,tx and have now put in an RX8 to see how that goes. It kind of did it once with the RX8 but came right back. Have tried batteries with 25c, 65c and 100c. Batteries are not new but have never had this issue with the same batteries in my scte?

I appreciate any input
Jason

Might be a bad steering servo, feeding back into the rx. Does the steering go away while experiencing these symptoms?

I meant, does the steering and the power cut out at the same time? Or just the power?
