Got the grille glued back together and the center ground out. Set it in place to test fit, fits good!! |

Lookin' good Brent, even if it is a Chevy..... Couldn't help myself!! You should get some small aluminum rod and make yourself a "billet" grille for it!!! Last edited by Full Throttle Rob; 01-04-2016 at 06:31 PM. Reason: forgot stuff |

The billet grill would be way too 80's for that sexy rig. Your work is inspiring Brent!

Got the Holmes HV500 servo. Man is that sweet! SUPER quiet, fast, smooth. Hopefully it stands up to abuse.

Got my custom battery made up for my old tamiya quick drive bug. It had 8 aa batteries in series for 12 volts. I first made up a 5 cell and 4 cell nimh battery set and wired in series which gave me 12.6 fully charged volts. Thing was stupid fast compared to aa batteries but the amperage from the nimh batteries seemed a bit much as I could smell the firey hot motor within a few minutes. I then made my 5 cell into a 4 cell so I've got 2 4 cells in series for 11.2 fully charged volts. Gotta love the Mac and cheese duct tape too! It still gets hot but not burning and I've run it for about 20-30 minutes giving it nuthin' but hot suppah's in the snow so I'm happy with that. The batteries where they are is hacky but helps with keeping the wheelies in check. I think I'll run it like this until either the motor or printed circuit board melts down, then it's a brushless conversion I think. But don't have or want to spend that money now. I've had this thing since new and it's bringing back memories big time lol. I also wired up the two led's I had left and some yellow lenses and rock guards from the leftover axial light kit. I do not have the spare time to be doing this but somehow still do it. Im sick! |

I like that Kaler, gonna look sweet! That other Clod nose looks vaguely familiar...... Hahaha! I have a razor saw you might be able to cut that bowtie out of the other grille with, if you want. Last edited by Full Throttle Rob; 01-09-2016 at 11:02 AM. |

No I can't bring myself to hack up an original clod grille, I'll use it on another project someday.

Haven't done much. Have a custom slider step coming from K.I.S.S fabrications. Room for 3 packs and full length sliders for the Ford. Got around to testing the Wraith. Must have been water in the back of the motor. Been dried out for a few weeks. Toss in a pack and fired right up. The wraith is getting tore apart. collecting all the parts and putting it all into a scx chassis. Its just not scale enough for my taste. With any luck I can swap the wraith chassis for a scx10 chassis and spend no money on it...lol yah right!

Slowly getting there. Had to order a new set of wheels for it though as the old ones just didn't feel quite right for the look I want. Should start cutting up the cage this weekend! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
