Keep an eye on Chevy55's thread as he's the master at these things!

Chevy55's Orlandoo v1's & v2's let the hoarding begin!
Thank you very much, looks nice, but I think you're right, it's a bit ouf of proportion.

I actually think those wheels look great on the Wrangler. Looks like some of the 1:1 rigs in my area.

It's a normal looking Jeep to me. I'll snap some pics of some 1:1s next time.

Man, so many build ideas.

Do they take the doors/roofs off because the tyres are so BIG!?

Doors are off because they come off easily. Actually, it's mainly because it allows driver and passengers to lean out to look at obstacles to make sure you steer over them properly.

If you want pics for build ideas, let me know.....

Here is my crew in Moab last May. Big tires, no doors - the American Southwest.

It's "A Jeep Thing". Throws back to when the Willys war Jeeps ran sin doors...I think.

I missed another three, too.

We do it for visibility on the trail. Otherwise I'd be buttoned up, doors on, with the air conditioning on high, drinking a martini.

N00b question: what charger do you use to charge these little batteries? I'm new to this micro crawler stuff and I have my own little Jeep on its way. Thanks for the help

I use a small charger like for helis. It balance charges and only the balance plug.

Depends on the batteries you have, but I use this LiPo charger with the below batteries:

iSDT SC-608 150W 8A MINI Smart LCD Battery Balance Charger Sale - Banggood.com

Turnigy nano-tech 300mah 2S 45~90C Lipo Pack

And the body's painted! Put all the details on (doubt they'll last long...) and not sure if I should leave the roof in a 'weathered' state or brush on another coat of matt black? Keeping the arches body colour as it just looks weird when painted black.

Still need to put in the LED's and may have found a smaller ESC too!

Looks good. Mine still hasn't arrived or it did when I wasn't here and the wife hid it. Lol.

Here's the charger I use.

I wish I could paint and detail ...

Tell us more about your smaller ESC.

If I can do it - you can!

I'm only allowed to paint when my wife is not around and 'luckily' she's working abroad for the week!

Tamiya TS-81 Royal Light Grey spray paint with a pot of Humbrol matt black and a sanding block is all I used.

On the ESC front I found a China 10a ESC that I was going to use for a servo winch, but the best plan is to use the Orlandoo kits ESC as it gives the third channel lighting too.
