Post your trailer, looking for ideas

Iv been playing with the idea of a custom made trailer, cut out some pieces and began to assemble, nothing to fancy just something for me and my son to haul. I'd like to see what good ideas are out there in the homemade trailer world. Looking for tow hitch ideas and the best method for the axles.

So I used this model kit to make my car hauler


I bent up 2 pieces of 1/4" square stock and hot glued them in the channels under the floor plate to add some rigidity, then used a piece of 2x sided 3M tape to hold a magnet on for the hitch.



I used some scraps of aluminum trim coil, some M2 machine hardware, and another magnet to complete the worlds most rudimentary articulating fifth wheel. It holds on well enough to pull the trailer fully loaded up an incline, but it will still release if it gets hung up on something and you try to throttle past it, so it's a nice failure point to prevent anything else from breaking in that regards.




As for the axle I just used the unmodified assembly from the model kit. It's a solid axle, so the wheels need to be glued back on periodically after enough zero-point pivot turns spin the wheels in opposite directions, but it's otherwise yet to fail. If you've already got some stuff cut out you're trying to use and don't want to buy a whole model kit just for the axles, I'm sure you can find a loose set of on eBay if you search for "1/25 model junkyards."
