Hey hey hey lol sorry work is crazy and no I would never give up lol just movie at a slower pace sorry guys but here is what I have for an update.

I went ahead and finished the sides of the roof and glued magnets in side them so the roof can be removed easy.

This is where I test fitted the roof and it fit snug enough lol can't be perfect but I'm trying to be darn close.

Then we moved to my favorite part of this update lol the detailing of the roof. It's kinda fun to make all the pipes and everything. But looking like I might need to buy more supplies.

Excellent progress bud. Just wanted to let you know I'm still following your build - keep motivated!

That carpet product looks interesting, where did you find it?

Thank you bud. And I ordered it through plastruct. Same with the diamond playing sheets, they have a lot of useful things.

If your not dead set on using the dirt grabbers and want to match the movie a bit closer the vaterra slickrock swampers (VTR41004) are just a touch smaller and can be had pretty cheap on ebay, I have a set on a current build if you want pics or measurements.

I can get other pics if you want but I already had these so I just cropped my truck out of them so you didnt have huge pics of my project in your thread lol. The tires are mounted on the stock vaterra wheels with stock foams and they are 3.75" tall and 1.5" wide, I have seen where people say the vaterra rims are not a true 1.9 more like 1.75 and they do seem to be about same diameter as tamiya semi wheels so maybe you could use semi wheels to look like the dually wheels in movie,I bought them already assembled or I would have tested it out but I did place a tamiya semi wheel and axial 1.9 against them and they are right in between. I'm guessing you will want stiff foams due to vehicle weight but then again the tires in movie were really bulged.

Lol it's just the style of the European houses. They all have points and look alike and sit so close together it makes it look like one building. I'll take a pic when the sun comes out to show you lol
