| SCX10 6x6 Build
Hello, I have been on RCC for a few years now, I have not been very active... RCC has been a great resource for many off my builds! I figured I would toss up a short build thread on my 6x6! I am still unsure on what body I will be using... I have been eyeing the Redbull Dakar 6x6 support vehicle..... of course I will have a trailer behind it! Chassis/Links: RCX 6x6 chassis vp 12.3 links 3rd axle links will be build once I receive the chassis! Wheels/Tires/Foams : 1.9 TSL with C.I.'s Deuce's Wild foams and 8 hole Axial beadlocks! Shocks: Proline power stroke scale shocks Motor/Esc Team Brood 35t Specter whatever esc I can find in the tool box! Axle(s): All rebuilt with Avid bearings etc Center and rear are stock scx10 Front has overdrive gears Driveshafts: MIP It has been a slow start still waiting on the chassis but the center axle is all built just waiting on some lockouts, c hubs, and knuckles! Here are a few pictures on the progress enjoy! mock up with Ford Proline... Last edited by [crawlosi]; 09-15-2015 at 12:27 AM. |

Where did you get the RCX chassis from? Novaris..there are a couple write ups for doing the front and rear output on the axle. its actually really easy. Im not sure what search terms would bring up the right stuff, but its in here. |

The RCX chassis is from RCOFFROAD.EU --- http://www.fast-webshop.com/rcoffroa...hassis-RCX-6x6 Yes, there is a few write ups on it search 6x6 and im sure they will pop up. There is also a few youtubes on it. Basically its just two front diff housings and you just shave the little ridge on each and bolt them together very easy and simple! |

Yes, just flip the rear axle. I could not find a US seller on the chassis, but I got it in about a week and it was only $8 shipping... not bad at all. Update: I received the chassis and I must say it is nice quality, and comes with all hardware! I got a handful of parts I ordered and got started mocking up the chassis, links, shocks etc. I will upload pictures of progress soon! |

I got a bit more done on the 6x6! but its rolling now still mocking up stuff and waiting for some parts working on that third driveline which seems to be a bit tricky... but think im going to try the SDI driveline... still unsure on the body.... I like the Ford body but the back needs to be changed to fit the long chassis... here are a few pictures |

For an idea on extending your cage search for the one Bender did a few years back. I think it is on here and Axial's website. Great looking 6x6, it is still on my bucket list.. |

Yes, the chassis does come with shock hoops and hardware its a nice set up the chassis works well! I do like the extended cage... but I am thinking I really want to try the RedBull body.... it will test my patients thats for sure Update: I was able to get all my links and driveline made this weekend! I am still going to order the SDI 4x4 driveline, but for now I went to the LHS and picked up a slash driveline cut it down and it seems to work good. I got the electronics set up today and ran it for a minute in the yard. Everything seemed to be smooth no binding! I will get some pictures of the links and driveline up! Yes made some progress, I will post pictures soon. Working on the body and back half. Also working on doing the XR mod to the front axle for better steering. I will do forming the body and using a Ford body as well. We will see how it turn out once on the chassis. |

Made a good amount of progress like I said. Adjusted the suspension, right now it has a Rockstar 530 Brushed motor but will be upgrading to a Brushless system for better wheel spin.
