I've gotten by fairly well with check/MO, but there are quite a few "PayPal only" ads in the classifieds. There's also some vendors outside the country who might have problems processing foreign payments. So this weekend I wound up going back to PayPal again.



And just because you have the capability of paying via PayPal, doesn't mean you have to. You could still negotiate deals working in cash or trade if you really want to maintain the peace.

[edit]: Could always squirrel away cash here and there, and take that to the bank and buy a pre-paid credit card. That's what I have my PayPal acct linked to. Pretty much near zero footprint on the household budget, I just reload it when I nail down what I want to purchase.

Paypal is the safest way to sell or buy. One thing I haven't seen is a seller rating like RCTech uses? I did see the feedback section, but doesn't keep track of individual history of the seller or buyer. Am I missing something?

Just go to feedback and type in the persons user name in the search block and you will see all available feedbacks for deals completed... The same or better then a "user rating" number.

You are missing that the member base here on RCC is a tighter close knit community and ripping each other off is not common place like a few other RC forums out there.

I do believe you will quickly find that RCC will ALWAYS be you first choice (probably end being your only choice) when opting to purchase used.

Bad deals are extremely few and far between here.

so im trying to buy my green star, but paypal is messed up when i try to check out it says restrictions and to goto the account overview to see the error, when i goto account overview, it says there are no limitations... but wont let me check out, I tried checkout without logging into paypal, and it still wont let me... any thoughts tips? i just want a green star lol

Is your pay-pal account a "confirmed" account?
Are there any current holds or pending issues with current transactions?
Double check with pay-pal why the transaction will not complete.

lol that funny my posts went from 7 to 4 how the freck..... I have read where if you go on peeps threads an say nice rig or something to that effect they say they know your trying to get posts. ok , I get it but that's not what im doing here I have been on rc tech for couple yrs now an have never had an issue like this rules rules rules .............only way to see classifieds is to buy a star. lol .!..

ok hey i read this...i joined a week or so ago, paid for my star today. checked in the classified found something i want that someone wants to sell... how do i buy it . cant reply to post dont want to pester any one but i have found not a how to buy from members thread. yes found a pay by paypal. thanks anyone who helps me
