Once. As soon as I got home I did a deeeeep clean and replaced quite a few bearings. Quote:
I’m good at having bad luck, so that’s probably it. But, with my experience, I’d never recommend the TRX4. _________________ https://www.instagram.com/island_crawlaz/ 79 F150 SCX10 ii TRXWalker | |||

My $.02, the Trx4 is the most mechanically durable scale truck on the market right now. I feel safe saying that since I own most of them. Granted, it, like most RTR's, is hampered by mediocre electronics. This is what kits are for.

im still building my all aftermarket parts trx4 so i dont have alot to offer the thread but i just wanted to point out that when everyone says you can hand this off to any kid and not worry about them breaking it then a kid chimes in who has one and everyone jumps his case when he says his is broken all the time that sounds like first hand kid knowladge right there from a kid there a reason people use the term adault owned and adult ridden/ran/driven not saying we.dont thrash our rigs too but we do it differently to say the least and i watched some videos one holmes and harley were talking about how tough the trx4 is then the vary next video harley puts out his fully custom trx4 breakes on the trail in a minute and after driving out to the sierras then hiking out to a spot the damb thing broke on its first run in a vary short amount of time not that that realy means anything some people just break things one of the reasons i have so many rigs is cause i break them so often and i have so much fun breaking them and i realy enjoy repairing them i never try to break them but it happens like breaking a axial universal in the snow on a small snow mound with easy driving Last edited by ferp420; 05-03-2021 at 07:41 AM. |

I have the bronco and a sport with traxx on it. Gave my 11 year old the bronco to drive on rocks while i drove the 1941 rochobby jeep. He beat that trx4 like a rented mule pretty much wiped all the chrome off the stock bumpers front & back. I locked F&R and had it in low gear for him. Other then the chrome and lexan body no damage from a 11 year old That is used to driving a MERV and drove the bronco the same way for a entire 3s 50c REVO bat. I can't drive my tamiya's like i can my traxxas stuff. As far as what trx to get you can save a few bux on the sport. It was 392 from rcmart shipped . Or a trx-4 kit is 399 from traxxas but you still need a body and need to put it together. I went with the sport 2nd cause it's going to run just the traxx and the tires will be used as spares for the bronco. So far I have NOT upgraded anything on either rig since i only upgrade when i break something. I did however buy the steel servo arms just waiting for the plastic ones to fail in both rigs so far so good. I've also noticed both rigs perform better with lighter 2s lipo then my long heavy 3s REVO batts. It's rely going to come down to do you want to save 50 bux by buying a sport? The trade off of losing 2 speed and lockers isn't really worth it to me. In hind sight i should have bought the trx kit for the traxx and a body. I could have just left it locked and in low gear. With the sport it's stuck there unless i wanna throw more money at it. Another thing to consider is what is in stock? Rcmart has the sport in stock but no one seems to have the bronco or any other trx-4 |
