::Big thread bump since it's winter again!::

Hey snowcat-ers! I just ordered a DX body from Team Blue Groove for my SR-to-DF rig and was wondering if it's wide enough to run the battery crossways in the cab section. Thanks in advance .

You should be fine. They're almost the same dimensions as a DF body. I run 5000 mah across mine (Turnigy's) because the battery leads come off the top, if your battery's come out the end could be a no fit. The interior could cause issues also if you choose to run it.

On a side note...anybody looking for metal tracks I have an extra set, shoot me a PM.

I'm running the Velineon 3500kV brushless system on 3S lipos, but my other one has a Castle 5700kV system. I was thinking of trying the 7700kV motor . I'm hoping the new DX body has a wider cab than the stock SR lid.

**Just missed your post gdb85, thanks for the input!

I'll have to dig through my decal collection and come up with something appropriate for the body, since none are included. I have a red/blue and amber flashing light bar and some Axial light buckets to add some scale features to it ,

I just ran my Blizzard SR today with its new metal tracks!! It has 2 Titan 380 motors for power and works awesome!!
The tracks pretty much double the SR's weight! It is a tank now but wicked!! It can climb icier hills better. I love the metal tracks and Traxxas Titan 380's. I just have to watch my throttle finger.

I bought a new Futaba 4PLS Radio and will be adding a new Futaba 6 Channel R2106GF receiver. It should fit where I have my current FRSky 4 Channel Rx for my 3PM-X radio.

I am sure I probably just over looked it in the thread, but does anyone have a part # or link to the material used for the brake pad mod?

Thanks for the info. Went down to the hardware store this morning ( we have a real one here!) and picked up some stuff I believe will work well. Did teh pad and diff fluid mod just a few minutes ago. Now I just need some snoe to check it out in.

Also, ordered a BL set up for it yesterday. Nothing high power, just a 540 class 1850KV motor to give it a bit more speed than the 35 turn brushed motor that is in it now. I want to keep the speed scaleish.

Time to get this one going again. Has anyone made any plows that look like a real one? I made one out of abs but it's not holding up good. I'm thinking about making one out of thinner aluminum but worried about the weight. Any ideas.
