| My first attempt at trying "marbleized" painting
Tried to paint my Wraith body in a marbleized scheme.... I'm not 100% satisfied with the results. Has anyone else painted their bodies in this manner that would be willing to share some needed tips?? Next try, will be with scrap Lexan, not my actual body! |

I have heard of being able to use Saran Wrap to achieve a marblized appearance but I have not tried the technique myself.

| Re: My first attempt at trying "marbleized" painting I did use saran wrap...I think where my mistake were, is that it has to be done in reverse order since being painted from the inside out. The rest of my body looks BAD lol...trial and error.

just an old wal mart bag will work, if using rattlecan, spray on a lil heavy, dab, dont lay plastic on then pull off, if the paint starts to dry before you a happy with result just spray a lil more on, if using airbrush paint you can simply pour some in paper plate and kinda dab it on, its such a simple technique. just remember your main color will be the first color you apply. hope this helps |

When I have done marbleizing on 1:1 cars I used Walmart bags.

I am happy with the final results. Now that I have the technique down, I will try others in different colors. Thanks for the excellent tips |

So is there a write up on how to do this, are you guys just using the plastic crumpled up and dabbing the wet paint, then putting on another coat over top. thanks

Step 2) put my hand inside a Walmart plastic bag, sprayed outside of bag with silver pactra spray paint, dabbed the inside of body multiple times (had to recoat plastic bag a couple few times) Step 3) after letting silver dry for 30min, I sprayed entire inside with outlaw black pactra spray paint. | Re: My first attempt at trying "marbleized" painting You spray on the BAG and dab....if you were to spray on the BODY and dab, your trying to REMOVE paint rather than add, I think adding dabs is easier than removing it. SPRAY BAG AND DAB BODY. Thats how I did it.

Looks GREAT! Really like the marble effect. I may try it on my next scaler body.
