Default Body post hole question.

I have a body with pre drilled holes in it. The holes are undersize right now.
The location is pretty close to what I need, but off just a bit.
What is the best way to enlarge the wholes and offset them to where I need them?

Thanks

I use a Dremel with a cone stone bit to make body post holes in my bodies. Makes a perfect circle everytime and the size of hole can be adjusted by how deep the stone is pushed into the body.

I bought a body reamer some time ago on a sale, and am glad I did.

I second the body reamer. Honestly, it's the best (and should be 'only') till did the job. The Dremel is one of my "go-to" tools in RC...but, if should definitely not be used for this, as it can enlarge the hole too quickly, causing the hole to be too large. When creating, or enlarging, holes for body mounting, you want to take things as slooooow as possible.

If I use a body reamer or a cone dremel tool it will just make the whole bigger.
I need to shift the hole a bit and make it bigger.

With a body reamer, you can do that. You'd start by widening the hole (making it oval-shaped)...just apply a little 'force' in the direction you need to widen the hole, while, at the same time, making sure you're not making the whole diameter larger. Rotate the body reamer slowly, removing small bits of the Lexan at a time. Once you've 'moved' the center of the hole to where you need it, then, if needed, you can enlarge the hole.

I'd tamper with the body post instead of the lexan if I were you. Even if you manage to do a perfect job, it will look odd with the enlarged holes. Just get the proper body posts and make them sit on the chassis.

All of them are off a little? Cut the mount off the body mount and screw a new body mount in front or behind of the existing one.
