I like the idea of a mountian road at night with a flash light. But I have never tried "IceBlocking".

What did you decide to do for tires and a swaybar?

I am undecided on these two, a set of slicks , new for only $24. delivered or a set of used Proline road rage on ebay .
The slicks would only work for the street but with as big of a motor I'm going with it might end up a drift only tires and no hard pack dirt, which is why I like the Road rage tires.
Both the same Height 110mm 4 3/8 and 43mm wide slicks slightly wider proline.

I was wondering if I should use OFNA DIffs and a XRAY Diff as the Tranny like this

my pic is of a mugen seiki mbx5t lol, you see what i was saying about being able to slide them in or out to adjust stiffness with just loosening a set screw, a little more versatility without having to swap to a stiffer sway bar.

none the less its a sweet build and looks like it will be fun

i say go w/ the prolines first but keeping the slicks as a back up wont be a bad idea (*seems in expensive enough)

Yea I keep forgetting that design is adjustable, Thanks I like that.

No doubt this build will be on the tight budget until I get a job Then the reall Good stuff will be bolted in. Like a Neu 1515 Motor
MGM high grade ESC
1/8 scale buggy diffs
Xray center
maybe a 10s Lipo
but now I am just anxious to drive it.

I do love the road rage tires, they hook up extremely well in my Modified oval 2wd 50mph car and my 4wd 1/10. But I want some fun Slide action .
I asked the guy he said they griped really well on his gas 4wd. so I passed on them.
For the Hard pack I'll buy some off road tires like these

asking because if you could find somthing w/ the lug pattern of the proline switch it maybe you ticket



i know when i use these on my slash i hook up really well on dirt and asphalt but when ever i want to kick the rear end around i lay off the throttle a bit then give it a quick squeeze. (*both dirt and asphault)

YEAA ME LIKE Those tires If I am reading the tire correctly that size works 43mm wide 1.72 And 109mm or 4.3" tall. Right
Now the only problem is I need a 14 or 17 hex
Does your sidewall flex, could be great for jumps, not sure for rally sliding on hard pack ...?

I need a tire that is 110mm to 122mm or 4 3/8 to 4 3/4" tall
so far the 1/8 buggy wheels fit budget and are only slightly smaller than 1/5. 1/8 lighter also

The're actually 4.3" tall, and 1.72" wide.

If you have problems with the side walls you can always put foams in the tires as well.

2 things u could just cut out the 12mm and toss in a 17mm and just put some of it in ur moth and start taring pices off it then show it to ur theacher and most the time they will think ur do did it it worked for me 6 times so far this year

I was thinking of cutting off the tread on the stock emaxx tires to make them slicks But I think I will settle for some tires that my hobby shop found, but the Rims are Ugly a$$ Dish rims
SO I'm waiting on just the tires to come in, I cannot remember the name but nothing I have heard of before

found some better looking rims but they are yellow and HS could not find anything except white and yellow, so it looks like I will be sanding and Painting them Gun metal

im not getting much side wall fles w/ the switch the the inside of the sidewall has some ribbing to to stiffen it up. i'll try to take a pic of the ribbing when i get my camera back from my brother. i dont think my web cam can catch the deatail.
