Try a set of 2.8 Losi speed T tires on the stock traxxas e/t maxx wheels. maxx wheels are 3.3. A guy came in the local Hobbytown and put a set of stock maxx wheels with the speed T street tires on his slayer. looked like it had a set of 28 dub wheels on it with low profile tires. tires can be stretched on but takes a little work.

Hey guys, sorry it's been a long time but IT RUNS ! I found a cool set of tires on ebay (Sportwerks hot laps Auto cross) In my Effort to support my Local Hobby Shop I drove there to order them, I asked them to order them early December. The shop forgot the order did not get them till late January Again I found cool wheels on ebay and asked the shop to find me some . The hobby shop only carried bright yellow and white 1/8 scale wheels and could not find the black spoked. The Owner gave a Rude comment that I cant be pleased. Instead of him telling me that I should go to his other Shop 20 minutes away which has a HUGE variety of wheels and I should look there. Well I went and Found Exactly the wheels I have been wanting at his Other shop, what a jerk With that poor service I would have saved a lot of gas and time and a few bucks cheaper buying them on Ebay instead. I dont have the money right now for big 6S Lipo batteries to run the huge Brushless 2100k motor so I dropped in the fastest brushed motor I had 10x1 and 7 cells nimh. The car only goes about 25mph. but was cool to see the big thing go. It had heavy body roll without the sway bar so I added it back in and made a huge improvement. It was very cool to drive and cant wait to drop in a Thunder power Extreme 22.1 volt Lipo 5000 . I have seen on youtube a Revo go 61mph with on board GPS. So getting this beast to 50 shouldn't be a problem with a upgraded drivetrain. The shock towers will be made and Drilled so that when going Offroad and jumping All I have to change is the 4 nuts for the upper shock placement. Still needs some shock and spring tweaking . HELP Please . Need help on PAINT I want to remove some of the Yellow around the grill area and continue the Red from the Flames to the lower valence. Can a Paint pro or somebody tell me the safe way to remove the paint I'll shoot some video and post it I thought I had Street pics, guess not Thanks Last edited by toy4crawlin; 06-06-2009 at 08:50 AM. |

Something you might want to consider, and an issue I had with my Revo to Slayer conversion, is transmission gearing. Since the tire radius dropped considerably, I had tons of torque but not alot of top speed. I could either swap out the primary gears, or go with a whole new transmission. Gears were $10, the whole trans was $35. I went with a trans. Speed is now back to a respectable level, with enough torque to still allow it to launch on its bumper. |

NEw used FG 1/5 wheels been a machining nightmare making bolt adaptors to get these on, so no luck yet. made a new tranny/motor mount out of delrin, just need to square up/ drill and bolt it up new Castle monster combo 2200motor programmed my old faithful Airtronics radio (with the BRAKE BUTTON ! ) Working with my mamba max the brake was awesome, a castle tech help me program it but for some reason when I got my Monster I could not get it working on brake button so I called castle again and only got a ignorant guy telling me there system is not design for brake and the button is a " back button" after trying to tell him numerous times it works on my max and him still not acknowledging it I gave up and just tweaked on it for a while my self and got it working Been shopping for a 5s or 6s lipo and found a shortly used 6s Polyquest enerand cells 6000mah 25c for only $150. from Australia and so excited to get it I just found out the guy cant ship because of new mail restrictions, big fat bummer Any body got a nice lipo for sale ? Speeds will be in 50-65mph ! Last edited by toy4crawlin; 06-05-2009 at 05:51 PM. |

Goodbie Crap Green ! I picked up some high heat engine paint (500*) but the yellow was super light so I used regular Enamel that withstands 200 degrees I masked off the fins so I wouldn't have the tedious task of taking the paint off but I ran out of tape half way. painted it then used razor blade to crap off the fins that were painted came out really nice |

go to hobbycity.com and buy batterys from them. I would suggest a 5 or 6 cell 5000mah flightmax. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=8590 thats the 6 cell http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=8589 thats the 5 cell. I have that and i am going to use it in my truggy conversion with a mmm 2200. |

you get what you pay for . Any idea what cells are used in those packs ? I'll do some searching and see how people are liking them. I'm looking for Enerland cells, Flight power, and I think Thunder power using them, best stuff and will last.

I have the 5 cell version 30c and my freind has 4 of the 3 cell versions. He thinks they are the best lipos he has ever used. They also have a warranty on them. Also they sell a 1/5 and 1/8 esc. I dont know much about it but its only 150$. worth a try. The thunderpower and those brands will cost 350$ for the same 5000mah battery. It is worth trying this. you can get three for less. I liked mine atleast.
