thats sweet! but on the other hand, look at that price! $490 is a high in my opinion, the nitro is only $340. |

Im pretty sure that is the Nitro they have listed on Tower. They are probably keeping the price point high until they know the actual cost. As I have heard through the grape vine the price point for both of them should be in the 350.00 area. Hopefully that stays true.

I hope that is true! i will buy 2 of them if they are 350 but i would rather do something else if they are 490, dont seem like they are worth 490 i want to get two matching cars for me and my girlfriend to race together. cant wait to see some more videos of these things. does anyone know when the flux is supposed to be released if that is the nitro? |

They never put any release dates out for either model, but within a month or so of the nitro the Flux "should" be coming out. I really don't think there is anyway they can be that expensive, hell the UK sites I have seen it on its cheaper and that includes a 17% UK tax. |

Tower Hobbies says "Early May" for the WR8 now. I wonder why it's taking so long.

I have been become recently obsessed with rally racing and rally cars. So, I'm torn between the Kyosho DRX and Hpi WR8. This will be my first nitro. The look of the cars and the sound of the nitro is perfect for my next batch of fun. Any suggestions?

| Re: Hpi wr8 I think there will be better parts support of HPI, but I love my DRX, granted it is converted to electric. The car is really solid and tons of fun. Lots of tune-ability, but there are a few mods that should be done from the get go with the Kyosho.

Yes, useful information. It's so crazy, I was searching for Kyosho DRX forums. RCC was like the third one listed on google. I was like " RCC" rally thread, whatever. I'm freakin blown away and totally stoked. Thanks Bro.

That seems like a hefty price tag. Since I would just swap the gas for electric anyway, I think I'll wait for the flux/brushless version. Or maybe even do TURTLE's DRX brushless conversion. But I am interested to see how the WR8's hold up.

Finally a tiny hint of the WR8 Flux! It's on HPI's Facebook page. And they even mention it's for the WR8 Flux. |
