winter tires... On the left are some of the rally legends tires, they're pretty soft. I put foams in them but they are very low profile foams. The tires feel flat. I think this might be good for the snow/ice race though... On the right, are spikes rally blocks (not for race use). Last edited by bvrc; 01-09-2015 at 01:26 PM. |

I use the stock 0.3mm washer along with one 0.1mm washer. This is on the inside of both output cups. replaced all of the internals of the rear gear box. Back is back together... Last edited by bvrc; 02-01-2015 at 07:57 PM. |

The super soft springs I like are too short for the shock bodies I prefer, hence why they are cranked down like you see above. My car rides on the softer side of things. It doesn't look like it, because I run these frankenstein shocks, but it's pretty soft.

I don't think the shims are absolutely necessary, but they do help in my opinion. I think the extra 0.1mm in each side helps keep things tight (but not too tight) as well as prevents leaks. I've run these diffs with the shims and without. Honestly I can't tell a difference while driving, but like I said I do think shimming ensures a long life for the diff.
