Default jebster's xv-01 and df-03ra

I've been interested in rally cars for awhile but finally decided to pull the trigger. I was in the market for just an xv-01 but based on my wanted ad a fellow RCC member gave me a great deal on rollers he had so I jumped at it. They were both pretty used (had to do a lot of scrubbing to get the caked on red clay off!) but were in good running condition with some nice upgrades.

The xv-01 had a number of aluminum hopups plus the alloy shocks were on the df-03ra so I swapped them over. The only parts I bought were a stainless steel screw kit, a slipper clutch, new gearbox cases and diff gear housings. For electronics I had a sidewinder sct & 3800kv 4pole motor combo. Low speed just ok but has insane speed and power (I have to use a higher discharge rate pack because I was having lvc issues with my usual 30c pack). That is based on a few trips up and down my driveway at this point.

The df-03ra is a bonus to me. I cleaned it up and have a leftover tazer 12t esc and 15t motor from a vaterra twin hammer going in. The front bumper foam was in bad shape so I just cut a new one out of one of those foam floor squares I have laying around. Not perfect but it will do. I plan on using this for street running, or let my kids bash it around. The only thing missing is one dogbone. I plan on buying rear xv-01 universals so I can just use that leftover dogbone from the xv-01 on the df-03ra.

I'm excited to get both of these out for some playtime.

The one on the xv-01? I'm new enough that I don't even know what it is! :-)

I do like that body style. It is in pretty good shape, only a couple small cracks.

The black and yellow body I custom painted for some one 4ish years ago. It's a mistubishi Lancer. The other body is a Ford Focus.

That's cool. Small world. It is my favorite of the two.
