Blingg is that something most people do is put spacers on the upper link bolt?
If anyone has suggestions just throw them at me. Im planning on getting some 3.5 big bores and haven't decided on the electronics yet Ilan on using either dual Novak rooster crawlers or dual mamba max or one of either or and getting a punk dig and a 4pl or 4pk but Im not sure I want to spend the money or a new remote when I have a dx6i I can run dual esc's with.

Yeh putting a 3-4 mm spacer each side of upper link mount is pretty common, seams to help with your articulation and rig stability I feel,I'm no gooroo on suspension , that's just my observation , I used spacers front and rear mounts which seems to work fine, try both with and without see how it feels, some one else maybe able to explain the concept ?

You could grab a gt3b and hack it or get one pre hacked( a firmware upgrade that gives you more than you need),under a 100 bucks for a good radio, will save you some coin for your rigs electronics, have a look in the electronics forum

Looks similar to a Ripper777 setup.

Sorta, I thought the ripper used a link from the servo arm to the tie-rod? This looks more direct, just a rod end on the tie-rod to the servo arm.

Yes, the Ripper777 uses a rod end on the tie rod. It still uses a high clearance arched tie rod with rod ends at the hub. So it is similar to a Ripper777 setup, just not a Ripper777.

But hey if it works use it.

It does work pretty well I get full steering with it and it out of the way. I'll post some more pics today I have the suspension set up, I had all the electronic in it until I burnt up one of my esc's. So I'm trying to figure out what I want to do or get.

Cool, nice build thread. Glad you are putting those axles to proper use.

The CrashFab steering link and servo mount were fabbed by "Crash". His bully work is excellent. I guess it is "simaler" to the ripper steering, No offense to the guy who designed the ripper steering but it did not function or last very well when I ran it. This setup is far superior in design and function, hand crafted for a perfect fit. And its beefy.

Here is a link to CrashFab = http://warcrc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=8229 . He builds all manner of bully items and crawler stuff.

Here are some pics from when I owned it.

I ran a FXR and punk dig on that chassis skid and if fit good.

so changes so far i am now using am old school mamba max with the usb port on it and a mamba 25 for ecs's and a thunder power 3s 1350mah 25c lipo and an old Integy 65 turn in the back and a novak 55 turn in the front until i can afford to get some decent matched motors. My servo is a old jr 9000t. I am running my dx6i stick radio with a ar6200 rx. Rc4wd rims with a bead lock screw on the inside of each rim missing to let air out for traction and a set of old losi rock claws. A lot of this build came off my old tlt i built about 5 or 6 years ago other than the chassis, links and axles.
