There is a Redcat part called "Connect Box(W/Gear 38T)(Al.)" Part #: 180009. It's metal and takes place of the plastic diff locker that I've heard had issues. You'll need two (front and rear). I have them installed and they work fine.

Setting it up as a faster trail truck (faster than my existing trailers/crawlers anyway). Tempted to make it a mud truck but unsure about the exposed spur and pinion (may attempt to make a cover). Added some shocks and made some hangers to lower the truck some. Shock issues are keeping me from getting the desired droop (medium internal springs a bit too hard and soft springs a bit too soft). The lower links will be parallel with the ground once I have it set up correctly. Had some 32 pitch gears and installed them (54/14). Looks like I have some extra slop in the meshing. I'll have to look at that. Also threw in a 20t brushed motor (just to see what it's like). May put in a 35t if I don't like the 20t. Weighted some 2.2 steelies and put on some Super Swamper TSI tires. Finished with a 1979 Ford F-150 Supercab body. Been fun so far. |

Hey all; Was wondering if anyone know of replacement axles with a built-in u-joint so the dogbones would not come out of the hubs? Something like this, but with a flat end to go in the differential? Steel U Joint Axle Shaft Drive CVD Fit Traxxas E Maxx Revo 3908 3903 5603 5605 | eBay Thanks Terry |

pretty sure there are easier and cheaper things to try here instead of those axles. axial has vvds for the sx10 (several choices of prices, look up sx10 axles or ax30464) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Axial-AX3046...8AAOSwKfVXLjyL or these should drop in as well. Jazrider Aluminum Front Axle Universal Shaft for Axial SCX10 | eBay all this should work specially if you are using the axial locker. these diffs are pretty close to being sx10 clones. let us know what you end up doing Last edited by cabron; 06-03-2016 at 02:10 PM. |

Yep axial, 3racing, jazrider and vanquish cvds/vvds should all fit. You might need to fit scx10 c-hubs and knuckles though.

there is talk about this in this thread. some guys were comparing the Everest, pangolin, and axial lockers something about having to trim the ends of the axial axles to fit the hsp-pangolin/everest10 lockers. maybe read back towards the beginning? or some one else remember this? ask all you want, we try to help haha |

Cabron you have that backwards. The HSP axles are thicker thsn the Axial ones so when you fit an Axial locker you need to file down the HSP shafts. So if you use the HSP connect box/locker then the Axial shafts will fit but there will be a pit of slop. I would recommend fitting an Axial locker (insert goes inside plastic diff) or a spool (like the one you bought) to suit Axial shafts.

Here you go. Vanquish/Incision spool. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/381647754973 Hot racing spool. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/201581554394 Holmes Hobbies spool. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/391462424459 Or the Axial locker(Part #: AX30500) that does inside your stock HSP connect box after you cut the centre plastic post out. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/390791894233 |

thanks for the clarification honchojoe to use axial vvds, use axial spool and maybe need to use axial knuckles are there other options for better steering in the e-10? |

| Re: A deeper look within the Redcat Everest 10 crawler Axial knuckles and c hubs (have to do both) with cvds will give better steering. But if you want seriously good steering look at the vanquish knuckles and c hubs. Or the SSD ones. Best option would be to fit scx10 axle housings. Then fit splined beef tubes and do the xr10 steering mod with xr10 unis. Those unis allow up to 70deg of steering. Axial cvds will allow up to 42deg. I think the ssd cvds and knuckles etc allow up to 52deg. None of this is cheap mind you. On my scx10 I have the axial cvds and vanquish 8deg knuckles and c hubs. One day I'll replace the axial cvds with either SSD or Vanquish.

| Re: A deeper look within the Redcat Everest 10 crawler Any you like. Stock wheels and tyres are 2.2 so obviously you would need tyres as well. I found I had a lot more fun with mine once I fitted 1.9 wheels & tyres. I then later converted it to an scx10 and gave it to my son.

I assume it will work fine....... however........ that is designed for an AX10 so will suit an AX10 skid. So not sure how similar in size the HSP/RC skid is. Minor modifications might be required. Or buy an ax10 skid and slot 2 of the trans mount screws so you can use your existing trans.
