| Looking to upgrade esc/motor
Hi I been in the hobby for years but I'm new to crawlers. I have an Redcat Everest Gen7 Pro slightly ugraded and modded. I'm look for an upgrade in electronics. I recently purchased a flysky controller/receiver combo and that's when I became stuck. Need ideas on esc/motor. Brushless or brushed... sensored or sensor less. All knowledge welcome. If you want to go brushless but don't want to mess with sensorless, you could look at the TenShock motors. From what I've seen of them, they are very smooth on the low end. A few locals have started running them rather than sensored and are very happy with them. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk |

For crawling and getting your truck wet and muddy go with brushed. The HobbyWing WP 1080 and a cheap $12 35T motor would be good. You can upgrade to a more powerful Brood or Holmes brushed motor as well. If you go brushless you have to get sensored or it's a waste for a crawling rig. |

You can get standard brushless wet just like with brushed. And, just like with brushed if you run it too much with mud or grime in it, it will burn up. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

+1 on the WP1080 ESC and 35t motor I recommend a GoolRC open-endbell motor from eBay. |

https://www.hobbywingdirect.com/prod...nt=26223842568 I don't think the GoolRC comes with leads and connectors. The RC4WD 35T will.

I bought 3 GoolRC 35T motors. They came with leads. Had to be soldered on. No biggy. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk |

Again, the TenShock 6-pole sensorless brushless is the exception to the rule. Some of you guys need to open your eyes to other's suggestions instead of being so hard headed. You want to spend $130 for a sensored motor that will be ruined as soon as it gets moisture if you didn't get it sealed up good? Great. But that doesn't mean a the TenShock motors aren't a great option. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
