redcat uses tearable rod ends the gen8 has a slightly narrower front end so you cant use.the steerting parts but for $2 you can buyna stick of 5/32 all thread and then go to the auto parts store and pick up a sitck of breakline tubing then off too the local hobbie store and pick up some quality plastic rod ends dont get the metal ones you will kick yourself down the road or wait for redcat to sell replacement parts and keep having the same problem |

If you glue the threads they wont strip. I used tire glue on some. Other I used gorilla glue or regular ca. Even if they strip before gluing more often then not you can use the stripped one just by gluing it and it won't strip or pull off again. I bent draglinks an tierods with the glued plastic links. And the links never budged. I would also stay away from metal. And club 5, traxxas links. The club 5 and traxxas links will break. The Redcat plastic links take alot more beating. And are more forgiving in my experience |

Make sure none of the screws are over tightened. I found one on my gen 8 that was, and it wouldn't give me full steering on both sides. Also, check clearance between the diff cover and tie rod.
