Been a while since you last posted pictures of barn. Is it done? I really like where you were going with it.

scale barn looks sweet . but why take the time to build it when its just for scale looks. its not like there is any real use for scale structures. but i guess im not really much of a scaler im to competative i run ax-10 custom with 90 degreez suspension articulation.
so someone educate me on this.

I think the word "HOBBY" pretty much sums things up.

Does any end result hobby product have a purpose beyond enjoying doing it?
Some build to show off
Some build to kill time
Some build to showcase other products
Some build to compete
Some build to escape their wives (guilty of this one)
Some build...... This list could go on and on and on....

Your question could expand in to infinty!
Why do NASCAR drivers enjoy making left turns for a living?
Why do people bother to mow their lawn?
Why do people drink alchohol?
Why do people collect antiques?
Why do people .... This list could also go on and on and on

I am currently building a scale garage....
Why am I doing it?
Ya know..... I never asked myself that , but if I had to answer.....
I guess my answer would be because I can. I know the escape the wife thing might be part of it.... But it's a hobby.... I simply enjoy building things in scale. The challenge, the end result, the time involved being alone to think about other things that need solitude to think about.... I guess the actual item built in the end serves MANY purposes through it's process.

Maybe in your case it's one of those questions that gets answered with....
"If you have to ask, you clearly would not understand any answer"

I don't mean that as an attack or insult.... But honestly.... I would question why a person deep enough in to a hobby to be a member of a hobby forum and wouldn't understand why and need to ask.

Questioning why AFTER making posts like this one.....???? Just looking for that #30?

You could try educating yourself. Why depend on us? we just waste our time building scale things, what could we teach you?

To put it simply, because I can.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I haven't touched this in a long time. Might be a good winter project. It just seems like every time I finish a rig I jump right on a new one and this barn sits under my table collecting dust.

That's probably the best answer yet! Only reason why I built a picnic table and work bench, cuz I could! And no, I don't only do scalers - I build comp rigs too. Though my rig prolly can't compete as it doesn't have 90* of artic
