Well.......

My first trip out with this rig and I broke two wheels . Not very happy with that, so with the help of DEZMOON I found some glue that is seeming to work. I will know more this next week, if the snow melts. ( I used Loc-tite Plastic Bond for ALL PLASTICS )

I also ended up switching to my 4PK instead of using my stick radio. I just can't seem to calm my thumbs down if I get nervous in a comp.

I hope this works for me, only time will tell.

That's why I don't use those rims, I have a set with Plowboys glued on, just need to get them off and on some XTM rims or beadlocks.

Is it geared low enough for you?

Yea, I really wanted a set of custom rims, but haven't had any Vendors reply to my emails yet :?. Kinda bummed on that, but I am sure they are busy.

What little I have ran it, it sure seems to be geared like my Clods. I would like it to be a little slower, and maybe the 65:1 cases would work just right for that. But they did seam to have plenty of torque when I did drive it. I hope I get to find out this next week or two, when ever the snow melts enough to go drive it.

Hmmm, I'm glad I saw this, any more details? Picture? I was kicking around the idea of getting back into a 4.5" and the blast wheels are on the short list. Maybe I need to look elsewhere.

I love the offset of these wheels, they just fit right. ( after you narrow them of course ).

I am just not having luck with the correct glue for this type of plastic. Dezmoon has seemed to have good luck with the way he narrowed his. I am trying it now and at this point seems way better. My only problem now is that I did not save my cut out part to use it as a brace in the wheel. But I am thinking it is going to work out with out it. But only time will tell.

I hoping to be able to test them this week.

You can buy fiberglass cloth and wrap it around the wheel, sealing it with resin as you go.

Hello,

i narrowed a lot of HPI Blast rims, glued them with CA glue and there was never an issue with it. The best way to narrow rims is to put them on a lathe, if there is one. If there is a bit tension when you push the cut rings on the ribs and give them some pressure after you have applied the glue with a clamp, they should take some serious abuse. Activator spray can also be helpfull.

Greetings Frank

WOO HOO. I got to do some driving today .

The wheels are working good so far. I used Loc-tite Plastic Bond (for all plastics). It is holding them together, and even took a coulple of spills to check them out

I am at work and enternet connection is poor, at best. So I will have to do this one at a time. Here are a couple of shots. I drove in and out of all the pictures. I took them with a little spy camer that is in a Key FOB. I will try to post a picture of it also.

Here it is,

Please don't laugh at the camera angle. I was by my self and holding it in my mouth . That is hard to do.

Truck looks great James. Nice camera work, I forget my tripod about half the time and have to do something similar.

I'm planning on being out at 141 Saturday afternoon assuming the weather isn't too bad.

Sweet, I hope to be back from the Rig Sat. afternoon. Give me a call on my cell, and let me know what time you think you will be headed out.

Yes I am running the stock 12t pinions on 55t motors, but I am getting ready to switch to my 45t HHH. I need just a little more speed to be able to turn rig back over. And I am able to great low speed already with the 55t . I am shocked. I thought for sure I would need to regear, but it is working out well.

I'm going to try and run my Rok Lok 4.0's with 10 tooth pinions tomorrow it feels pretty strong just messing around here at home with the new batteries in it.

If you see this before tomorrow afternoon PM me you cell number, I accidently erased it. If you don't see it you'll probably know I got it from someone else
