Well, I built a cover plate to keep the electronics from being hit, so now, I need to figure out something else for a body. Maybe. Might not run one. Might build something from sheet-metal. Not sure yet. Still don't know what it weighs.

of the 2 or 3 people still paying attention to this thread, do you know of any bodies that might fit an 18" wheel-base?

Superclass bodies, since 18" is a super wheelbase.

Just depends! I think a 2.2 would still fit on that, but it might look funny to you. If your trying to follow the rules I think you only need 12.5 long. If you want bigger the exceed mad tourque bodies are bigger!

I've tried a couple 1/10 Jeep truck bodies (Parma and Proline). Would have to cut either so much that they wouldn't even be recognizable as trucks, let alone Jeeps. I think 1/6 scale might work but, never seen one in person so not real sure. Seems most sellers/manufacturers of bodies don't list WB either so that doesn't help. What's the WB on an E-Maxx?

Anyway, I did add some more weight to this today. Finished making my link sliders to get up over the huge collars I used to mount my shocks. This is NOT recommended for anyone trying to lose grams!

Bringing this back from the dead for ... a weight reduction!!! Surprisingly, it weighs less than my SCX but, only by about 9oz.

Today though, I got an offer too good to pass up. A VP Incision chassis and a set of Berg V3 axles, completely unused; along with two Axial 55T motors, two 11T pinion gears, and 4 cheap shocks, for half the price of the axles and chassis! Not sure what I'm gonna do with the axles but, I can use the Incision!

Now, who was the last noob looking for a set of V3s?

Thanks to DLux and Hittman, I've now spent about a grand more on this thing than I had planned. Got a few more things coming from Erik but I should have a huge update, soon! Getting excited!

Tires are waiting for more DLux goodness... (Thanks Hittman!)

So, first thing: This thread needs moved to the Super area. It's taken a few years but thanks to a rollover that resulted in a broken stub-shaft, I went a slightly different route with this creation. It's still not light. Exactly 8lbs according to the postage scale at work. Anyway, not many pics, yet and no vids but, just wanted to post a minor? update, and throw a huge thanks out to Dlux and Hittman! Without you guys this would not be. Still a bit of tuning to do but, an old mattress and an upside-down couch allowed me to reach this angle:

Definitely need to down-size the electronics and probably...eventually... shell out the bucks for Erik's ultra light-weight stuff.... But, for now; considering this is the only super in this state, to my knowledge; it will do. Can't wait for the snow to melt so I can get it on some rocks!

Well, that was wrong. Cost about 1.5 times as much as my scx, so far....

Performs 5 times as well already, though, and the shocks hit the motors! (need stubbys)

Seriously though: Thank you, Hittman and Dlux!

One of the local spots happens to be a southern facing rock pile that was almost snow-free today. Managed to run through a 1300mah battery on some rocks. For not having any of the fancy weight systems or reduced-weight axles/gears, and having a HUGE mass of electronics, it performed pretty damn well. There weren't any lines I couldn't manage between dig and 4ws. Even managed to drive through sections that I've never seen anyone make but, like I said, this is the only super in the state so the only one to attempt said lines. Tons of fun and can't wait to get to some of the larger areas this summer!

I moved from Cheyenne to Denver so you might be right about it being the only super in the state!

The tires are perfect, Hittman! Exactly what I wanted! And they work on my local terrain even at 18* ... Can't wait for summer!

It's pure awesomeness seeing it in action. We have a pretty sweet little setup for crawling at the bank. TONS of lines that we can literally spend all day on. My AX10 will not keep up by any means but it is fun just watching it do work. Glad you got it together finally Ron. See you on the rocks!

After watching that little SCXorpion™ of yours work yesterday, I really think you could keep up with either dig, 4ws, or Voodoos! Driver makes all the difference though, too!

We need a camera-person, though!

Thank YOU for making it happen, Michelle! Hopefully I can get all the other things I want to upgrade (electronics) soon, so these can be mounted without too much delay.
