After picturing it green and black, the chrome still looks good.

And thanks for all the help with the Solder questions. I got started today on a cage top for one of my trucks. Have to admit for a first timer it turned out pretty good so far. Still lots to do, but the main cage is done .

I'm hoping by the end of the week.

Took it back to the PC guy to see what was up w/ the color. And the Green that I ordered came out chrome, so the powder was screwed up. getting a frefund or more powder.

Nice pics of the trees and bushes, but there seems to be some blurry metal object in the foreground :-P

Seriously, sweet looking tuber. Can't wait to see the finished product. One question though, in the original drawings it looks like you had hoops for front shock mounting (similar to a hustler), but now you've got the mounting location in the main part of the frame. Any specific reason for switching locations?

Yeah after I built everything and was looking to see where the shock loops would end up. I discovered I didn't need the hoops as these are the best shock locations. Unless you want like Savage shocks or something.
It also adds to the rigidity of the frame. But that was just a bonus

Is it more difficult brazing the plates in? Seems that it would be a longer heat duration, rather than concentrating on one specific point.

It's not really more difficult to braze the plates on. But yes there is a little longer heat duration. But I'll start on one end when the braze starts to flow I'll follow my line as the braze follows (add when needed) So far it hasn't warped any of my mounting plates yet. Some sheet metal will though.

Well I found out why it didn't turn green. It was suppose to have a Clear over it. Hopefully I'll have it back today or tomorrow since it's been back at the coaters for a week or two.

I'll be adding a Dig (hopefully) w/ rear steer.

I'll be using PunkRC's Computer to try and use the 3rd channel for a dig/rear steer/winch down suspension (possibly).
This will hopefully be tested at least a few days before the comp to see how it works out.

Sorry for all the Q's, but some of the pics look like aluminum plate not steel.

Just the area that was sanded or something. No aluminum on it anywhere.

No problem on the questions, glad to help out.

Thanks, you've been a great help. Haven't finished the first build, and already planning the second. BTW did they give you any idea when your chassis will be back from PC.

Picked up the chassis this afternoon.

Feest your little eye's on this beauty. It kicks the chrome color in the nutz.

It will be running by this weekend.

Nice choice going with the JP Custom knuckles. What's the WB sitting at, from the length of the links 18-20" ?
