Why are you making it so narrow? The design looks awesome though, Good Job.

Just wait till you see it built may surprise you a little.

New clod It will be a little wider than that maybe around 3.5" wide. as it doesn't need to be any wider. Thanks for the complement on the design.

Well took a few minutes to start bending the tube. Unfortunatly it was a bit late and I was tired and shouldn't have started on something new because I make it about .75" shorter than I wanted. Of course there are no rules saying I have to stay with the exact measurements so I won't waste the brake line.
Now I just need to get some more silv and complete it.
I have the cock pit and some other parts cut and ready to mount.

Is that the MAP gas you use to build your tubers? Is it still the torch tip? I was wondering if that would work to braze with, but I hadn't tried it yet. How long do you have to hold that on the joints before the solder starts to flow?

Yep mapp gas and the torch tip it comes with. Although I heard Bernz-o-matic has a new more efficiant tip out.

It works great to braze with. been using it for over a year now and about 30+ bottles of gas.

I'd say about 5-10 seconds to start letting the silv flow. but depends on the metal and the joint.

Check out the video in the tools and procedure section.

That's hot.

The narrow design will work well for you, it'll just glide over the rocks, very hard to get stuck.

Thanks, that's what I'm hoping.
I just don't want the links to be to close togeather and why I changed the belly area to be around 3" instead of 2".

Chassis looks great, and thanks for the heads up on the vid. One question though, in the write up you talk about 1/8th break line, what about 3/16? I realize that it is only 1/16 larger, I assume that it should still work. I have designed an upper cage over a plate chassis to be the test mule before a full cage. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Yeah no problem. Not sure about the 1/8th brake line thing though can you send me a link to the write up you were talking about.?

But you can use any size of brake line technecly. I've used up to 1/4" brake line and have even mixed 1/4" 3/16" and 1/8".
