Check out a couple movies of it crawling here: http://stlouismtb.tripod.com/rc_s/MOV04427.MPG http://stlouismtb.tripod.com/rc_s/MOV04431.MPG Here is my Custom Venom Mini Gaint: Mods: 6.6:1 Gear reducer on top of tranny, 100:1 Final Gear ratio Axle mounted steering servo Canileaver Suspension Soft springs on shocks Bearings Locking Steal wheel nuts, Don't laugh! It's a Mod on this truck, LOL SPY ESC, Futuba Radio Gear Modified Wheels Custom battery pack Cut tires Oh, and the Grave Digger Body I airbrushed on a Losi 50's pannel van. Really makes the truck, IMO. You can put this truck together for under $200. And it is just about unstopable as long as you can get a tire on it. There is more torque than you ever need! |

Never got around to ordering them yet. I will try to this coming week but I want to make a different chassis for those size of tires so that I won't have any rubbing issues with the bigger tires. something like a clod chassis for the MG. I'll let you know as soon as I get them.. Adam |

TeamFSU, sorry, forgot to respond. The dakota body is from pro-line. Its just a HPI micro body. They also have a GMC sierra body.

2.2's won't bolt up directly, though you could probably modify it somehow to work. I'd recommend against it because even with my tires (they are 2.2 buggy tires) the truck seems really bogged down and gets hot pretty quick (that's why I am trying to attach the gear reduction unit to it).

Pretty much you can bolt up the mini-t wheels/tires with some minor mods or you can attach the chrome mini giant wheels. There are some obscure traxxas tires I picked up from my LHS (they only had one set) and through measuring, they should fit some of the aftermarket mini-t wheels.

I can't get the pics for a few days because they are back at college and I am home for turkey day, but yeah, I just cut them in half, than slathered JB weld onto the rod end of the dog bones and when I inserted them, I wiped off any excess that came out the top. I just picked up some mini-t CVD's today though. Hopefully I can get some better driveline angles out of it.
