Just glued the tires and I'll test it on the rocks after work or sooner, with out the rings on it.
I have to adjust my time this afternoon to see what I can get done.

Well I went and had a 2nd run at the local LHS/track/crawl spot. Asked Grover to meet me out there and get his opinion.

Things that came up..
The stock tlt pinion just doesn't cut it, unless you just about drive full throttle.
The rear springs are way to stiff and doesn't allow for great articulation.

I've fixed the spring issue and the 9t pinion that I purchased was the wrong pitch so I'm hopping they will have the correct one today when I go for the 3rd test drive.

I didn't get any pics cause I forgot the camera at work. but I'll do it today.

I switched out the stock 24t pinion for a 13t (all I could find locally). JB welded the tranny as the smaller pinion made the washer I installed slip a little. Put some smaller softer springs on the rear for more flex (something grover pointed out for me, thanks)

I'll also have a video made on the smaller rocks (posted above). doing it today.

More testing and pics. At the end of this run I stripped the Spur gear, and replaced the 86 with a 90t. It works a lot better.. I should have the video soon.

Home shot testing the 90t spur.

Makes me wish I had bought it. The pics in the FS forum just didn't do it ample justice. Nice rig!
