| Oh yeah
Im not a machinist by any means and the only real machining tools I have are a dremel and a drill but I would like to do most of the fabrication and design myself. If someone could give me a good starting list of stock materials (alum. sheets, rods ect.) that would be great. thanks, mike

Anyone recommend a good esc? budget is limited right now, so most of the stuff will have to wait, I want to do more wrenching than running and slowly get all the parts. thanks, mike |

For a good starting starting point you should go http://www.rccrawler.com/20txt.htm As for the ESC your best bet is to do some searches to see what others are using. I use super roosters on my rigs. But they are hard to find now. There are all tipes of other mods you can do like this: Dig For TXT/Jugg How to. The key to a good crawler is to have a light chasse with the weight as low as you can get it. |

Most people only run one motor. I run one 55t with a GD600.

You can use the mamba maxx esc, or the new tekin esc. They will control both brushed and brushless motors.

I don't think the brushless will work with a 55t. I think if I wore you I would try the tekin rebel 2.

Im testing the mamba maxx with an integy 55 now and I gotta say I LIKE IT! it is also 50.00 to 60.00 less than the other LRP or TEKIN esc's that run both |

you will wont a GD600 if you are going to run one motor. And you will have to play with the gear raito to get it to run the way you wont it. But as I said you should do some searching and ask a few other people. Its always good to get as much input as you can. |

As for the gearing it's all in what works for you. And I don't know of a good ESC for around $50.00. |

Okay, Ive' been looking for ....9 hours now and cant seem to find an answer. The kit i bought comes with a 1500mAh NiCd and charger, what are the advantages of say a 3000mAh NiMh, bacause if I go to NiMh I would have to get a new charger as well. Also, waht is the proper maintenance for a NiCd? (fully discharge before charging...etc) Thank you all for the help, Mike |

You can run the MOPED 1/10 ESC from RCMART or off E-bay. It cost $35 bucks. I'm running it and had no problems from it. So are many others...It's a great ESC for a Budget.
